About this location

We are a farm in a 100-inhabitant village in Middle Franconia on the border to Lower Franconia and Baden-Württemberg. Close to Würzburg and Rothenburg and the spa town of Bad Windsheim. A wide variety of animal species that are threatened with extinction live here. Above all, my husband's favorite: the Franconian yellow cattle (cattle breed). Also angler saddle pigs, Augsburg and Vorwerk chickens, Gröllwitzer turkeys and Pomeranian ducks and rabbits. In the village itself, the Ottilienquelle and the beautiful church are worth seeing. For children there is a table tennis table and a slope slide, but there are also numerous play options on the farm, from a sandpit to a trampoline to many straw-hopping and animal-feeding opportunities. Located on the Way of St. James and Kunigunden, our village is also a popular transit point for pilgrims. You can go shopping in the farm shop: lots of farm produce and lots of other things that are available in the region.

Hello, my name is Esther and I live with my husband and six children aged 1 to 18 in a small village in Middle Franconia on a farm.
We are an organic farm and keep endangered animal breeds, such as Franconian Gelbvieh cattle and Japanese rabbits and various poultry species.
We are always curious about visitors and look forward to showing you around and introducing you to the animals.

Tips

  • In the barn or on the pasture you can practice fitness and observe animals. Every morning between 8am and 9am and every evening between 6pm and 7pm.

  • The sunset is particularly beautiful after work is done. But also the hiking trails and simply exploring our small village. :-)

  • Visit our farm shop with products from our own farm. In the neighboring village, a 15-minute walk away, there is a real village bakery, but only open from Tuesday to Saturday.

  • 5 km away there is a small town with restaurants.

  • And about 7 km away there are several down-to-earth Franconian inns in different directions, such as the Gasthaus zum Stern in Gollhofen and the Gasthaus in Simmershofen.
