You will find Op 't Heeseinde on the border of the Limburg and Antwerp Kempen. An unforgettable micro camping spot between our alpacas, ponies, goats, bunnies and cuddly chickens, surrounded by forests. A place where the secret bond between humans, animals and nature becomes tangible. Enjoy, find peace and be together. And all this near the fields, forests, numbered hiking trails, cycling and equestrian routes. Our camping spot is a resting place - where you can enjoy the outdoors in peace.

In 2008 we bought an old farmhouse with an estate in an agricultural area that we completely renovated. Over the years, our love for alpacas grew and ponies came to the pastures.
We enjoy being active in nature and this beautiful and peaceful place to live. Several times friends and acquaintances said 'I want to put up my tent here'. Together with our 2 children, we enjoy the peace, space and animals around us every day.
Since the summer of 2021 we have been a host in the campspace adventure and we share our meadows with everyone who loves animals, nature and camping.

We stayed at the Alpaca campsite for two nights and it was really beautiful. The pictures don't lie, you are literally camping among the alpacas. They will keep you company from morning to night. You can also help put them in the stable at night. Tired of the alpacas (which can be difficult because you can watch them for hours)? Then there are ponies, goats, rabbits, chickens and a very sweet dog, Tibo. You have real contact with these animals, even the chickens can just be petted.

We were really there for nature and the animals, only for some shopping we left the campsite for a while.

Very nice experience. You can really put the tent between the alpacas and they come really close (especially if you have alpaca food). There is a sink, a refrigerator with local products (you can also put your own food in it), a toilet and electricity. Pretty basic but you have everything you need. In the evening you can make a campfire, also super cozy! You will also receive a booklet with all kinds of information about nice walks and restaurants in the area. You can also book a walk with the ponies or the alpacas.

How was the contact with the host?
Super nice people. We had said in advance that we would come a bit earlier and Tom immediately showed us the way. We did the pony walk with Lies and it was also super fun. Really nice people, you can ask anything, nothing is too much.

Tips for new guests?
At the start you get a bag with toilet paper, a sponge, soap and some sweets, so you don't have to provide that yourself. The toilet is closed behind a wooden fence, but the closing is a chain, not really a door. The dishes are washed right after, so you have little privacy. There is no shower but we had our own camping shower to freshen up quickly.

It was an instructive weekend and a great camping experience! We really enjoyed looking around the farm, pitching our tent in the meadow between the alpacas, feeding and helping the animals in the stable and especially taking them for a walk! We have had a fantastic weekend at 't Heeseinde. The kids loved helping feed the alpacas and have been floating from the tree house with the zipline the whole time.
The cozy Be-Mine site of Beringen is nearby, perfect for going for a swim at Sportoase, climbing between industrial heritage or to visit the mining museum. We also enjoyed a walk in the flowering heather at the end of the street.
