Romping around, swimming, boating, looking for (frog) fish and salamanders, bird watching, lounging, brushing donkeys ... It's all possible in our garden Orewoet. We have 3 separate camping pitches available. The places are a good distance from each other. Central is a communal covered kitchen, outdoor shower, compost toilet and campfire place. The natural (swimming) pond is also communal. If you want, you can harvest fresh vegetables and berries in the large harvest garden for a small fee during the season.
The domain is located in a dead end street, so the area is usually quiet. There is passage of onshore and fishermen from the adjacent fishing pond on Saturdays and sometimes Wednesdays. In the morning and evening you mainly hear birds, frogs, a rooster, a donkey, a hedgehog, a cricket, an owl or other animals and creatures from the forest. Mosquitoes are there too. It is therefore best to bring an anti-mosquito product.
Extras include a wood-fired sauna (20 euros) and a guided walk with a donkey (10 euros for a 1-hour walk).
Within walking distance (2 km) is Averbode Bos en Heide, a large and beautiful nature reserve. The Demerbroek with vineyard, witness hills and Galloway cattle in the meadows of the valley are also not far away.
Cultural and culinary bicycle trips possible to Aarschot, Diest, Zichem, Westerlo, ..
3 bicycles are available for free.
We do not allow dogs for the time being, our cats are too old to run away quickly.

We really enjoyed our stay at your beautiful camping spot. We greatly appreciated the beautiful and clean swimming pond, the diversity in the local fauna and flora and the handy utilities such as the shower, the fire pit and the outdoor kitchen. This, in combination with your hospitality, formed an extremely pleasant experience that will remain with us for a long time.

We will definitely come back!

What a lovely place. We didn't expect it to be this big. Everyone has their privacy and the covered outdoor kitchen is a beautiful central place where you can cook, eat or meet each other. The abundant rain was a downer, but the place, the facilities and the lovely owners made up for a lot. We would love to come back!

Friendly and smooth contact with the host! Very nice experience! It was a beautiful and very quiet campsite, ideal for a weekend away. The Abbey of Averbode is definitely worth a walk or bike ride, just like the Demerbroeken. A little tip, be sure to round off your trip to Averbode Abbey with a visit to 'the moment' to taste the delicious abbey ice cream.

Between the snowy and rainy days we were able to enjoy the peace and quiet at camping Orewoet for two days.
A beautiful place on the lake, a wonderful campfire place for cool evenings and a very handy outdoor kitchen for cooking and eating.
And above all: such a sweet, concerned and caring hostess and host!
A gem nearby, to really get away for a while.
The averbodebos was nearby and very nice for walking. The donkeys were certainly a success with the children.
Had the weather allowed, we would have loved to have stayed a lot longer...

Our weekend with Yves and Liesbeth exceeded all expectations. You have a large piece of the garden at your disposal with lots of privacy, a swimming pond and a caravan where you can take shelter in bad weather. Everything was there (games, BBQ, dining and cooking utensils, chairs, table and hammock). Also greatly enjoyed the campfire and sauna. In short, beautiful place to relax and very friendly hosts!

Definitely recommend. And! Worth repeating

Yves and Liesbeth gave us a very nice welcome! We were allowed to push our mini caravan next to the pond. The place is beautiful and the surroundings too. We hiked, cycled, and swam. The sauna is a big plus if you want to go for the glamping experience like we do. We enjoyed their hospitality and picking red fruit in their garden. We could use material like chairs, candles, and BBQ and ask them anything. In summary, a dream week!

During the day we went cycling in Leuven and relaxed in the evening in the paradise in Aarschot. We enjoyed a very friendly welcome, paradise location, the kingfisher and the donkeys were the heart and soul of our youngest daughter.

We loved this little peaceful campspace. It is tucked away, has everything you may need (and more - follow the advice to float about with the inflatables in the pond, it's very relaxing). We were very nicely welcomed and well taken care of, we could borrow bikes, which was a great way to discover the countryside around. We'd love to be back sometime :) thank you very much for everything!

This place was fantastic and the hostess and host are very caring, in a non-compelling way. Very nice with children. I am almost doubtful to promote this, because then the chance of a next stay for us only decreases ;)

Beautiful Campspace, where we have been received very hospitably. The first evening there was even a mountain of firewood ready for a small campfire, but also for the 2nd evening the garden/forest offered enough loose wood to end the day with a lovely fire. A compliment for the clean toilet is certainly in order here. In addition, the first evening we were already provided with good tips for hiking trips for the rest of the weekend. The Campspace is therefore in a beautiful area. But you don’t really need to leave the grounds for a wonderful day of relaxation, with a spacious pond for paddling or floating next door and a garden rich in birds and even a number of donkeys.
