We have been living on our beautiful estate of 12 hectares for 3 years now. Pure nature and back to basic, we live completely or grid, solar panels, permaculture vegetable garden, compost toilet, shower is our wonderfully clear lake.. Experience what it is like to live back to basic, spacious and quiet environment, located between the sierra and the beautiful coast. we like to let others enjoy it too!!

Super location. Secluded, quiet, beautiful and with the great asset of the lake where you can cool off. Stayed 2 nights and had great moments. Definitely recommend.

How was the contact with the host?
Very smooth contact with the host, very reactive and available if needed. She is flexible and leaves you very free on the terrain.

Tips for new guests?
If you are near the south of Portugal, definitely try to disconnect from civilization and isolate yourself in this little paradise.

A beautiful hot, wild and windy spot somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Vale is super helpful and generous and helped us with any issue. We, in turn, were most happy to help her out in her permaculture garden.

How was the contact with the host?
very good, she even picked us up in town

This is the perfect place to get away from crowded touristic places. A beautiful land in the middle of nature with a refreshing lake to swim in. You have a lot of privacy and it's really queit.

How was the contact with the host?
Myrthe and Olaf are very friendly people who made us feel welcome right away. There's so much to discover on this land and we had a wonderful tour with Myrthe who showed us around and explained everything they do and plan to do on their land.

Tips for new guests?
There can be a lot of wind and it cools down a lot in the evening so make sure to bring a sweater and some blankets to sit outside in the evening while enjoying the sounds of nature and the stars. Don't forget to bring a lot of water and food if you're staying for a few days so you don't have to move all the time.

Also a solar shower can be very handy since there's no running water there. Or just jump in the lake because the water is very clear and perfect of temperature!

Myrthe and Olaf are fantastic, hospitable people who are happy to show you around and tell you about their beautiful 12 hectare site. For example, they are working to restore biodiversity on the land and they have a large vegetable and herb garden where you can pick up some fresh lettuce, mint, peaches, etc.
You can completely relax because there is no ambient noise except for insects, animals, wind noise or splashing in the water from fish or yourself. At night it is really dark so the starry sky twinkles above you.
If you want to see what it's like to camp completely off grid, then you've come to the right place. There is a compost toilet and we had a solar shower with us. (There is no running water yet, but the lake provides you with your water needs, just bring drinking water)
Do you feel like peace and space and do you like swimming in nature and do you want to enjoy the starry sky in the evening, then you have come to the right place.
