Tiny House
Both this Tiny House and the location are unique.
This Tiny House relocated to a new location in late June: Veenhuizen (Drenthe). It stands alone, as the only rental, next to a barn and carport, part of the residential farm, with its own separate large field.
Enjoy the peace and dark starry nights.
The Tiny House is one of a kind, beautiful and very atmospheric. Cosy year-round, with underfloor heating and a wood stove. From the kitchen you watch birds nesting in the trees; in front of the house, lambs frolic in the meadow. The sleeping area can be closed off and has a double bed (or two single beds if preferred), under a stargazing window!
The bathroom is next to the house, with shower, toilet and washing facilities. Almost always for private use, occasionally shared with another camper. Outside you enjoy your hammock, picnic bench, relaxation chairs and atmospheric campfire.
The location is ideal for a multi-day stay.
Veenhuizen has a fascinating history as a colony of the Society of Benevolence and later as a prison village, and recently received UNESCO World Heritage status. From this Tiny House you can explore the story of the Colonies of Benevolence in your own way. There are books to read and within walking distance you'll find the Prison Museum. In the countryside you can explore stories by bike, on foot, with a guide or individually with an audio tour (the Pauper's Paradise).
Natural area Fochtelooerveen is beautiful and a paradise for bird lovers.
In short, a perfect retreat and base to explore this UNESCO World Heritage area and nature.
