About this campspace
A nice place for a camper, with 4 guests it is small and cozy near the pond. From this location you can enjoy beautiful walking and cycling in nature. If you go to the main road you are on a bike junction road immediately. For hikers, there is a walking route from the Campspace. At your tent you can enjoy the Fish in the pond and hear the birds. In the evening it is great dreaming away, staring into the campfire or up to the stars.
There is a barrel sauna on the Campspace, which you can use alone or together (for a fee).
There are sanitary facilities (shower and toilet) for the guests.
There is a wood stove and firewood available by the camping spot. Instead of a fee you can make a donation.

We spent three nights with our rented motorhome in Frans' garden. There were 5 other campers. A lovely place to relax with our 6 month old son. Plumbing was fine, sauna in a nice spot and great hospitality. We immediately felt at home and everything could be arranged! Rented bicycles, fire pit with wood and some tips about the area. And all that for reasonable prices. Highly recommended and worth repeating!

Good! Frans is enthusiastic, hospitable, but not intrusive.
Tips for new guests?
Try once. Are you looking for a place to relax with other campers around you without too much crowds, then this is a nice spot!

A wonderful place to relax! We spent a week here in total and it was more than good. Very nice owner, basic place by the pond. Beautiful view and you can enjoy the moorhens in the water, the swallows and the friendly dog of the owner. There is 1 shower / toilet and these are neat and clean. There is room in front to separate your waste. There are mainly camper guests. The atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly.
We mainly walked a lot with the dog, there are plenty of nice hiking trails, also directly across the road.
Highly recommended!

Contact with the host was fine, we met him regularly during the stay and he often came to chat.
Tips for new guests?
Bring mosquito spray or a fly swatter. There are (of course) a lot of mosquitoes at the pond.
Wijnjewoude itself does not have a supermarket, for this you have to go to Bakkeveen by car or bicycle.
Try the beautiful hiking trails and enjoy nature.

We were warmly welcomed by Hanneke and Frans on arrival. With our tent, we were allowed to find a place around their beautiful pond and were nicely informed about their work and self-sufficiency of energy in their yard. They are even completely disconnected from the gas network! They have a wonderful place in the Frisian landscape which we can certainly recommend. The sanitary facility with toilet, sink, and shower is very neat and clean. There are beautiful walking areas in the area and Hanneke and Frans are happy to provide you with all the information you need. We were allowed to use a fire pit and there was even a wood-burning stove outside on the terrace deck near the pond where we could gaze into the flames of the fire.

I arrived at the Campspace in the afternoon. There were 3 other campers around the lake. The weather was great so I was able to sit outside and quickly got in touch with the neighbours. What I did not know in advance, and what was a very nice surprise, is that there is a cute wooden house with a sauna, which you can use for 5. So ultimate camping luxury! Frans is a friendly host and is happy to help if you have questions or just to have a chat. He stated that only campers are welcome, but sometimes it happens that people come with a tent.

It is a fantastic beautiful place where there are mostly campers, but Frans, the host, also has a beautiful place for you and your tent. The place is very peaceful. You hardly hear the nearby N381 thanks to the hill between the road and the Campspace. Frans is a very friendly host. You can walk near the camping site and the deer also walk nearby. The site stated that you could fish in ‘the pond’. But Frans said that this is no longer possible. He now breeds koi carp, grass carp, and gold winds in the water. It looks great when he feeds them!

Beautiful pond with places for campers all around. But actually nature is the boss here. For example, we saw a nest of moorhens come 'loose' from mother. The sounds of birds predominate here. What a nice cycling environment too. We enjoyed!

Nice quiet (in terms of visitors) place on a secluded field around a pond.
Hospitable, helpful and friendly reception. We had bad weather so as an alternative to 'being outside' dived into the sauna (€ 5 p.p.) Top.
The downside is the road along which the location is located. It is clearly there. I can imagine if you are in a camper that it is not that bad, but we have a VW with a roof tent and then it is quite loud.
Sanitary is primitive but clean and adequate.
