About this campspace #s004327

On the edge of the Loonse- en Drunense Duinen National Park is a beautiful biodiverse woodland garden, my second home. We also have three camping spots in the garden. A furnished cotton tent (larix), a place for your own tent (es) and a place for your own tent or camper (holly). There is a play castle in the garden and a sandpit. Children and pets are welcome. From the garden you can walk straight into the forest, watch birds, spot deer, discover badger tracks. In ten minutes you are in the hamlet of Giersbergen and the Three Linden pub. Mountain bikes and day tickets can be rented there. Natuurmonumenten has set out numerous short and long walking routes along woods, heathland, meadows and drifting sand. There is plenty of swimming water in the region: swimming pools and natural pools. For the sports enthusiasts, there is a climbing forest, tennis court, miniature golf and a riding stable within cycling distance. Of course Den Bosch and Tilburg with their culture and nightlife are worthwhile.

Nb.
Guests are responsible for complying with the RIVM rules regarding corona.
There is solar energy to charge your phone.
Tap water is limited available. The hand pump provides cool groundwater.
The shower is a USB shower. With a bucket that you heat yourself, you can shower for about 4 minutes.
Guests bring their own residual waste.

Meet Robert, your host

It is always nice to be here on the land. I've been coming there for almost 60 years and would like to share it with others.

How lucky we were that we stayed at Ecobobo for exactly two wonderfully sunny days! We were warmly welcomed by Annette and Robert. Annette spoke enthusiastically about their field and the plans they have for it. We were early in the season, but we could already spot the first flower buds. We can imagine that the garden will soon look beautiful! A lot of work and love is put in, which is clearly visible.
We came with the camper and had a spacious place to ourselves, with a picnic table, lounge chairs and even a fire bowl. More than enough space to set up the camper and relax yourself. Upon arrival we immediately learned how to split wood to build our own campfire and sit around it in the evening. The name off-grid already indicates that you should not expect a luxury camping spot. Nevertheless, everything looks neat and everything has been thought of. We even heard that there will be a new toilet house.
The place itself is remote from the road and inhabited world, so you really are in the middle of nature. Exactly what we came for, this peace and beautiful nature! The site borders directly on a beautiful forest and drifting sand plain, through which you can walk or cycle endlessly. We are a part of mountain biking, nice and adventurous and a beautiful trail! In the morning Annette took us on a nature walk through the woods and dunes, where she shared her knowledge of the area with us. Great fun to learn things from nature in addition to walking. For example, we can now recognize badger setts and places where deer have slept! Highly recommended if you are staying here and want to know more about the area.
All in all, we really enjoyed our stay. Waking up to chirping birds and the chance to spot deer in the garden, what more could you want? In any case, we will come back again!

Very nice, spacious place on the edge of the Loonse en Drunense Duinen, you can walk straight into the forest. In the meadow opposite the campspace there are regularly deer and the large garden itself is full of special trees, flowers and plants. The solid De Waard tent is fully equipped, with furniture, all necessary kitchen utensils including gas and basic sleeping mats. Tip: if you want to camp a little less rough, bring your own sleeping mats😊. Host Robert and hostess Annette do everything to make you feel comfortable (if you want to be left alone is also completely fine) and are super hospitable. Recommended!
