About this location

Beautiful, spacious, quiet place to camp in a natural horse pasture (of approximately 1 hectare) with many different types of grasses and flowers surrounded by a food forest edge in development. Hear the many bees buzzing and birds chattering while our three ponies roam around the meadow. At the back of the meadow we have a large willow hut that provides shade and also a seating area where you can catch the last evening sun. The sunsets here are often beautiful and with a bit of luck you might spot a deer, fox or owl in the meadow :-)
We have our own vegetable garden with an abundance of vegetables in season and our food forest edge is producing more and more snacks.
The beach is within walking distance (850m) through the dunes of natural monuments where large cattle graze, just like the Quackjeswater nature reserve, where you can spot spoonbills and kingfishers, among other things.
In the street is the romantic restaurant "De Houten Paardjes" with French-Dutch cuisine and you can walk along the beach to various beach bars in 20 minutes. The sea is child-friendly and shallow. Rockanje is a real holiday village with all amenities and several beach bars.

It is a primitive (see last photo) toilet house with toilet, wash basin and electric boiler for a hot shower. We do not work with coins, but once the boiler runs out it takes 7.5 hours to heat it up again. 10kWh per day included if hot shower is booked. (enough for 200 liters of hot water).

An architect and strategist have lived since 2019 on a beautiful spot just behind the dunes in Rockanje with two lovely daughters. We both love outdoor living. That's why we chose to move from Rotterdam to a former farmhouse with a large garden (1.3 ha).

We registered on Campspace because we enjoy having more people around during remote work, especially during the corona period.
