Come camp in our backyard in Veenhuizen! You stand between the forest, the swing, the vegetable garden and the slide of our boys (1, 4 and 6). We don't have a separate toilet or shower, so you share it with us.
Veenhuizen is a special village with a rich history. Surrounded by beautiful nature reserves (the stream valley of the Slokkert and the Fochteloërveen). We like to receive tent campers. Welcome!

Place in a super nice garden. We combined the overnight stay with a visit to Pauperparadijs performance (nearby).
How was the contact with the host?
Warm welcome. The 3 sons check in every now and then in a very nice way.

What a lovely spot in the back of the garden on the edge of the forest. Wake up to a bird concert. We were warmly welcomed with a cup of tea and could use the garden shed to cook and hang out our wet rain gear.

The garden is located in a beautiful spot directly on the Drenthepad.
There is a house in the garden that we were allowed to use. That was useful to pack the backpacks well.
How was the contact with the host?
Miriam was friendly and welcoming. Great to be offered coffee on arrival after a day of walking.
There were even extra blankets waiting for us, because previous campers had been cold. We had no problems with that with our super sleeping bags.

A wonderful stay in a quiet area with forest and nature. The back garden and use of the bathroom felt very private. We were offered free wood and a fire pit, and there is a direct path into the forest behind the house. Overall, an incredibly comfortable stay!

We were warmly welcomed by Mirjam, her partner and children. Coffee and drinks were offered to us.
