Bianca and Erik welcome you. After having lived in Portugal, we also want to let people enjoy the beautiful place with park garden and the associated Twente hinterland. We have space for 4 caravans or tents and 1 for a camper. Everything at a corona proof distance. The toilet building is certainly corona cleaned every day and it is hand gel ed. We wish you a pleasant stay. Also check alphaisguest.com for the vacation home. Bianca and Erik

We were lucky to be the only guests (except for one night - but due to the size of the property we didn't notice the other guest). The sanitary facilities were clean (daily cleaning).
All around are many fields and forests - ideal for cycling (a very well developed network of cycle paths). It's quick to get to Nordhorn, Bad Bentheim or Holland.
There is a street within earshot that was sometimes heavily used during rush hour - but that didn't bother us. Nevertheless, we found it on the whole quiet and the days were pleasantly relaxing.

How was the contact with the host?
Very nice, helpful and interesting contact.

You don't have to travel far across the border for the ultimate foreign feeling, this Campspace has proven that! A nice place to walk or cycle and enjoy the outdoors. The elongated park garden provides plenty of choice where you can put your tent or camper van, with both sun and shade. The sanitary facilities were well maintained and hostess Bianca is happy to give a tour of her gallery, with works by herself and other artists, highly recommended for art lovers!
Nice trips in the area include a visit to the historic city of Bad Bentheim, with its authentic churches, Burg Bentheim (where the entire city is built around) and the cozy terraces around it. A walk through this city is worthwhile, because the castle is located on a fairly high point and the houses are built around it on the sloping mountain, this provides beautiful views.
For nature lovers, you can combine a visit to this city with a walk through the Bentheimer wald, or even more in the direction of the Campspace around the Isterberg and/or the Syen Ven. The Isterberg is a somewhat smaller nature reserve, but hides beautiful boulders, which certainly provide some fun for the boulderers among us. It is not even remotely comparable to a Fontainebleau, but half an hour of entertainment should certainly do the trick, if you can find the hidden boulders. Great for outdoor bouldering close to home. In addition, this Isterberg has a nice observation tower of about 22 meters high, which is definitely worth climbing and enjoying the wide view!
