In our garden you can set up your own camper or tent or use our furnished caravan. Recently we also rent out our 2 furnished Sahara tents.
Our house stands on one hectare of private land in a village of 120 inhabitants. At 2 kilometers is the nice village of Balk with a wide range of shops, restaurants and plenty of opportunities for all kinds of water sports.
The garden where you will stay is surrounded by trees and hedges and offers plenty of privacy. There is a roof with a lounge area and simple kitchen and sanitary facilities.

Fantastic location in the middle of nature with only the sound of cattle and birdsong all around you. We lacked nothing during the overnight stay and want to come back 100%. In short, we were happy to enjoy a breathtaking part of Friesland here. For me personally, a core memory has emerged here.

What a lovely place Hélène, Sjirk, son Victor and daughter Jasmijn have created, just 8 minutes by bike from Balk. Nice and green and surrounded by beautiful tall trees. So shaded areas throughout the day, which was a true luxury in this top week with temperatures well above 30. Enjoyed cycling on beautiful cycling paths through the woods and cooled down at the IJSSELMEER and the Slotermeer. The caravan is indeed as cute as in the picture. Not only nice but also fully equipped. Helenè was always nearby, yet we experienced plenty of privacy. Good that all windows and doors were fitted with mosquito nets, because mosquitoes and flies also enjoyed the tropical conditions. We have come to love this place and will definitely return.

How was the contact with the host?
The contact with Hélène, Sjirk and their adult daughter Jasmijn was optimal. Had very useful and nice tips about fine catering, nature and places of interest in the area between Lemmer and Stavoren. Special was the pampering with pizzas from our own pizza oven! And during this week we regularly received clean towels.

Do not carry too much with you because the caravan is equipped with everything. A big plus is also the 'rest point', further down the garden. It is covered with a comfortable sitting area, sink, hot and cold water, games, DVDs (a DVD player there and in the caravan). During our stay, another guest camped on 'our' property for 3 nights. That went wonderfully.
