About this location

Coverack Camping is located on the East side of the Lizard Peninsula, South Cornwall just above the fishing village of Coverack.
CHILLED, FRIENDLY ECO CAMPSITE, LARGE PITCHES, SMALL MEADOWS & PLENTY OF SPACE.
We like to think of ourselves as relaxed, informal, green, family friendly camping, close to nature. The campsite has good basic facilities in a great location. Pitches are in small meadows some with sea views in a rural setting.
Coverack Camping is a basic, no frills, eco campsite, facilities include showers heated by solar thermal energy (with electric backup), compost toilets (separate male, female & Unisex toilets and lots of them), washing up facilities, covered picnic area (with freezer, internet and USB charge points). Solar PV, with battery storage provides electricity on site with mains electric back up. Set in 6 individual meadows with differing characters some with sea views, all surrounded by traditional Cornish Hedges that are full of native flora and fauna, which provides shelter from the prevailing winds. It is a tranquil setting that has changed little in the past 50 years. Located just 5 minutes walk to Beach and Harbour of Coverack via a private wooded valley walk, known as "Lover's Walk".
Coverack although a small fishing village does provide most essentials, with a village store, pub, takeaways, restaurant and café.

Your host, Jake & Annette

Acceptance rate: 100%

Jake is a local farmer who after a short courtship (30 years !) managed to persuade Annette from Germany to marry him and come to Cornwall. Jake had the good fortune to inherit the campsite from his Uncle and Aunt who have now sadly passed on. Jake & Annette now run the campsite together, a big change for Annette from a care manager in Germany to campsite host in England. We both enjoy very much meeting our varied and interesting guests.
