On our private property in the village, just a few kilometers from the Harz Mountains, we offer a peaceful spot for a relaxing overnight stay or tent camping. We have plenty of space, and you can choose your own spot around our house upon arrival. Please note: We receive many inquiries from people who would like to come with campervans or vehicles with roof tents. This is only possible to a limited extent and requires prior arrangement. Unfortunately, we do not have space directly on the property for vans, campervans, or caravans. If you would like to stay in your vehicle or roof tent, you can theoretically do so under our carport, which is directly adjacent to our property. In this case, you are only a few meters from the property and the lawn. However, the vehicle, or vehicle with a campervan or roof tent, must not exceed 2.10 meters in height, as our carport unfortunately does not allow for anything taller. You are also welcome to use our cozy covered terrace with a table and chairs. There is also a ping-pong table and a dartboard available. The fire pit is available for your use directly on the property. Firewood can always be found in the adjacent stream. A small charcoal grill is available and can be used by arrangement. For the summer, we have a large wooden swimming pool in the garden, which you are welcome to use after contacting us. From here, you can take excellent cycling or hiking tours in the mountains, or simply enjoy a leisurely ride through the surrounding fields. Experienced cyclists can reach the Brocken mountain (1142 m) in about 2 to 3 hours. Please remember that you should have suitable bicycles for this. You can also rent bicycles in nearby Ilsenburg or Wernigerode. Cycle paths in all directions are directly adjacent to the property, and you are immediately immersed in nature. The tourist town of Wernigerode is about 30 minutes away by bicycle. Ilsenburg is about 20 minutes away. Goslar and Bad Harzburg are also easily accessible by bicycle. Hiking tours can also be started directly from here. There are several bus stops nearby with regular buses to Wernigerode and Ilsenburg. Our property is located directly on the Via Romea pilgrimage route, which leads from Northern Germany to Rome, making us the perfect stopover for pilgrims. In the village of Veckenstedt, you can also shop at the local market at regular discount prices. They also offer numerous regional specialties. The market is about a 10-minute walk from our garden. There's also a bakery, which is open on Sundays. If you enjoy fish, I recommend the Veckenstedt fish farm, where you can find fresh fish and fish sandwiches. For those who like fishing, there's a fishing pond stocked with trout, eel, pike, sturgeon, catfish, carp, and zander. I'm an angler myself. If you'd like specific information about natural lakes and fishing permits, I'd be happy to help. If I have time, I'd also be happy to take you fishing with me. The A36 motorway is only a 5-minute drive away, so you're welcome to stay overnight with us even if you're just passing through (don't worry, the motorway is far enough away that your peace and quiet won't be disturbed at any time). If you stay with us, you can use the shower and toilet in our adjoining house. The bathroom is fully equipped, and you'll have access to drinking water and electricity. The sanitary facilities are exclusively yours during your stay; they are not used by other guests and are thoroughly cleaned after each rental. There's also a small washing-up area in the basement. If you're arriving by car, you can park it under our carport (maximum vehicle height 2.10 meters). If you'd like, I can give you some insider tips on hiking or cycling tours and other interesting places. We don't rent out our garden to other guests, so you'll always have complete privacy and won't have to share the sanitary facilities. We're very child-friendly and have plenty of equipment for children available. A high chair is provided, and there's also a large sandbox in the garden that you're welcome to use. There's also a children's playground nearby and a stream right next to the property. If you're coming with children, we kindly ask you to keep a close eye on them, as it's not possible to make every corner of our large garden completely childproof, and our property isn't fully fenced. Otherwise, your children will be thrilled and can even play by the stream. In general, our property is very well suited for larger families with several children, whether younger or older. We look forward to seeing you! See you soon! 😉

Since we also use our property ourselves, we ask you to respect our privacy. Basically, you can use everything under the carport and on the property. We ourselves have 3 children (1x 4 years and 2x 1 year). The kids are also out and about in the garden and sandpit from time to time, Parties or drinking binges are not welcome, but we would of course be happy to have a beer with you in the evening. Dogs are generally not a problem as long as you keep your four-legged friends under control and they don't dig up the garden or eat our cat:D (we also have a rabbit). You can only stay overnight with a tent, there is enough space for 3 to a maximum of 4 tents (e.g. a very large tent and two or three small tents are not a problem). Unfortunately we have no space for mobile homes on the property. A T5 bus without any superstructure can easily park under the carport in front of the property, so if you are interested you could also stay overnight in your vehicle and use our sanitary facilities and electricity (vehicle height maximum 2.10 meters) If you have any special questions or requests, you can of course ask at any time.
