  • Be sure to explore the Hondsrug area and the Drentse Aa National Park!

  • Take a refreshing dip in the (bo)lakes such as Nije Hemelriek and Gasselterplas

  • Rolde, Grolloo and Borger by bike and Assen and Groningen if you have a little more time.

  • During the season there is a forest pub on the site itself.

  • Wok palace around the corner. Café restaurant Gerrie in Grolloo; De Loohoeve Inn in Schoonloo; Rikus's vegetables in Eext.
