About this location

Noyelles-sur-Mer train station (Paris-Boulogne line) is 7 km away (30 minutes by cycle path). The bus stop connecting to the station is 300 meters from our property. I can pick you up by car from the station. The street width and gate are not suitable for vehicles over 6.90 meters. The property is located on the edge of the village, offering a peaceful stay in 2500 m² of garden, just 200 meters from the Bay of Somme, cycle paths, shops and restaurants, and the starting point for unforgettable activities (seal and seabird watching by canoe, guided bay crossings, steam train rides, treetop adventure courses, escape games, etc.). It's an ideal location for exploring the surrounding area, with all the town's points of interest within walking distance: the medieval old town, the port, bars/tobacconists/betting shops, restaurants, the cinema, concerts, and art exhibitions. Discover the area around the Bay of Somme thanks to 300km of flat cycle paths, the steam train, and the bus (the SNCF train station is just a 5-minute drive away). Guided nature outings, boat trips in the Bay, kayak and sea canoe rentals, bicycle and riverboat rentals, and two playgrounds and pétanque courts are all within 800 meters. You can also enjoy the fishing pond, river fishing and surfcasting, equestrian centers (with beach rides even for beginners), and visits to abbeys and castles. I offer guided excursions to gather plants from the Bay, fish for brown shrimp, observe seals, and explore pebble and sandy beaches or secluded forests, even in summer. Combine outdoor activities, relaxation, nature discovery, and historical sites for a truly memorable holiday! Please specify the length of your campervan when booking; my street is only 9m wide, and campervans over 7m block traffic when maneuvering, so I no longer accept them. Vans (maximum 3) can be parked on level, dry ground in the driveway alongside the house, near outdoor electrical outlets and a drinking water tap, as well as the sanitary facilities (shower, toilet), pergola, and small furnished terraces. Tents are spread throughout the garden. I limit the number of campers so that everyone has ample space. The garden is open to all campers (except for the chicken coop). There is sun and shade all day long, furnished terraces, deck chairs, barbecues, shelters, a mini playground for young children, a ping-pong table, a small foosball/pool table for older children, and board games in case of rain. The number of campers is limited to maintain a friendly and family atmosphere.

Perfect for...

Dream, breathe in the fresh sea air... for cyclists, walkers, birdwatchers, nature photographers, kite surfers, lovers of old buildings, art, restaurants..., welcome everyone

I love dreaming in front of our beautiful landscapes, gardening, cooking, saving mistreated animals, giving new life to old objects, walking in the Bay, on the beaches or in the forest, helping children who are "stuck" in learning; at 62, I am enjoying my retirement.
I like people to feel good at home; the garden is large, laid out in different terraces, and the house is not big but warm. The animals I rescued have become adorable with everyone, playful and very cuddly.

Tips

  • The tree climbing course and the escape game in the Salomon wood 50 meters away offer good memories for young and old.

  • Walk with the shepherd and his flock or observe the seals resting on the sand under the magical skies of the Bay of Somme in all seasons

  • The market is famous and accessible on foot by the quay (800 meters). Many delicatessens, tasting corners, sale of local products in the center (between 600m and 800m)

  • Many very nice bars with terraces, good wines and draft or bottled beers, cheese board or snacks or tapas...between 150m and 1 km

  • Many restaurants with very varied menus, some of which offer "lamb from the salt meadows" which have grazed on the herbs of the Bay and whose taste is unforgettable.

Rules

Everyone thinks and acts as he wants as long as he respects the other whether he is human, animal or vegetable. Aggressive animals are not allowed. The animals in the house are all dewormed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and ticks, sterilized and groomed. Please deworm and protect your pet from fleas and ticks one week before your arrival. If you do not want to see my animals, everything is provided. Please do not leave waste on the ground (cigarettes, papers, etc.); selective sorting bin bags are provided at your accommodation and there are bins and ashtrays everywhere outside, near the seats. The house is non-smoking but a smoking area is installed in the outer building. Please do not abuse the rainwater from the buried tank; even if 10m3 seems like a lot, my animals and plants in the garden need it too. If you easily lose the keys, I will open the gate for you. Otherwise keys available and beep for the automatic gate. I can keep the children or your pet at home during an outing but I want to know about any health problems and that you remain reachable on the phone. Electricity, drinking water, gas are free for normal consumption; in case of overconsumption, I will ask you to pay at cost. Breakfast between 6:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. and preparation of picnics (between €5 and €12/person); notify the day before before 5 p.m. please.

Enclosed grounds divided into several areas. Dogs and cats must be treated for fleas/ticks and dewormed. Cool building in summer for several cages (birds, rabbits, etc.).
