Despite getting extremely unlucky with bad weather conditions, our stay here was very satisfying. We enjoyed the proximity to London, which meant taking public transport was affordable (Greater London), whereas the peace and quiet made it a perfect place to relax from the hustle and bustle of the city. Everything (and more) was provided as mentioned in the description. But the best thing about our stay here was our incredibly hospitable host (read more under 'host').
How was the contact with the host?
Emma and her husband are amazing hosts. Not only did they do their utmost to accommodate us and our young kids, they were very friendly and compassionate. Our kids immediately felt at ease around them, and they were very understanding and pragmatic towards us when things didn't go according to plan.
Tips for new guests?
The host has a very extroverted cat. The host's adolescent children are very artistic, so they can sometimes be spotted in and around the house later in the evening.

We were greeted with a warm welcome and cuppa from our generous hosts, who were extremely knowledgable about the nearby opportunities to fish, horseback ride, take long walks in nature, or visit the coast and nearby historical estates.
The hosts' lush green garden lawn offered us loads of space. There's a lovely children's play area too. Kentish cobnuts and sunflowers line the perimeter of their extremely well maintained 400-year old property. (Fortunately, the rumoured ghost sticks to the house, not the garden!) The white noise of the motorway didn't disrupt the pleasure of our very enjoyable stay.
