About this campspace

We are the ideal stopover on the way south or north - in the middle of Germany between Rennsteig and Rhön, whether for one night or for a whole week. We are very conveniently located and only 5 kilometers from the A71 (Meiningen Nord exit) or 10 kilometers from the Suhl Zentrum motorway exit on the A73.
If you are "just" looking for a place to relax, you have come to the right place. And if you don't feel like preparing your own breakfast, the neighboring Hotel Der Distelhof garni offers a delicious breakfast, of course, if you order in advance.
Our pitches are not only ideal as a stopover, but also offer the option of exploring the immediate and nearby surroundings, whether on foot, by bike or by public transport. (Theater and castle town of Meiningen, half-timbered and nougat town of Schmalkalden, hunting and sporting weapons town of Suhl - also known as the birthplace of Simson) to name just a few.

We have fulfilled a lifelong dream and taken a "full risk" and bought the property at the end of 2021 and officially (re)opened it on May 1st, 2022 and after the hotel we now also want to inspire campers for our beautiful region - between Rennsteig and Rhön.
