Camping away from the hustle and bustle of campsites.
The Resthof is managed ecologically and is located between the Oste and the Elbe in the middle of nature.
Hamburg with all its sights and Cuxhaven with its bathing and surfing beach are each about an hour's drive away and can be reached just as quickly by train from Himmelpforten. It is 7 km from us to the train in Himmelpforten.

In addition to people, a dog, horses, sheep, cats and free-ranging chickens live on the site.

Fresh water, toilets, a mini kitchen and a fireplace are available.
Wood for the fireplace can be purchased on site at standard prices.

Our dog does not like visits from other dogs.

A visit is particularly recommended for bird and nature lovers.
Sunset and starry sky are free depending on the weather.

The following activities are possible in the near and far surroundings:

water ski facility
Canoe/kayak/pedal boat rental
Various ferry trips
Local recreation area Wingst with family adventure trail, zoo, forest playground and guided tours through the forest by the forester
Various natural bathing ponds
Swimming pools, especially the thermal baths in Otterndorf
Beach on the Krautsand Peninsula
Various hiking trails through nature and many attractive cycling routes
Trips to guided nature observation by boat and train (e.g. Moorkieker, Tidenkiker, Vogelkiker ...)
Many small restaurants, cafes and boutiques in Stade's old town as well as various guided tours through the old town (e.g. climbing the church tower, night watchman tour, etc.)
Cinema in Stade and arthouse cinema in Harsefeld
Restaurant in the mill tower in Himmelpforten

A folder with information on leisure activities is available on site.

Great and quiet place at an authentic farm. You can choose a spot yourself and there is a unit on the site with toilet, cooking and washing up facilities! You don't need more!

How was the contact with the host?
Good!

Tips for new guests?
Definitely recommended as a stopover towards Scandinavia. From here you can easily take the boat to Gluckstad so that you avoid Hamburg.
