Welcome to our nature campsite near the Baltic Sea
Nicer than in the catalogue. Right on the lake. A sunny clearing. Protected by forest. Intoxicatingly calm. Warmly cared for. Simple and naturally beautiful. Our favorite place. your vacation. The nature campsite is located in the heart of Holstein Switzerland at the gates of Eutin. Small, fine and personal, it is a wonderful spot for a weekend away from everyday life. Peace seekers, nature lovers, active vacationers, families, dog lovers or just those who are just discovering their love for camping - they all feel after just one night: We have discovered a treasure!
Parents relax in the sauna while the kids conquer the playground, beach volleyball and soccer field. Fresh rolls smell in the kiosk. The large and child-friendly sanitary facilities are newly renovated. Since we focus on sustainability, service water is heated with solar energy, a photovoltaic system generates a large proportion of the electricity consumption and a modern ventilation system with heat recovery is installed in the wash house. Your must-have: WLAN, electricity, showers, water and waste water are included. We are dog lovers. The site has its own sandy bay with a sunbathing area directly on the Kellersee. From May to October people chill and splash about here - Mediterranean feeling included
Active holiday in Holstein Switzerland
The adjacent forest invites you to endless walks. You can look forward to a wide range of activities: hikes and bike tours are available from the Prinzenholz. The routes range from 5 km for families to extended day tours over 60 km. Dog owners can take part in special SUP paddling with the dogs or adventure tours. And geocaching is adventurous – the modern version of the scavenger hunt.
If you want even more sport and action: Holstein Switzerland, with its countless lakes and nature parks, is a paradise for "holiday activists". The Kellersee is an Eldorado for sailors and surfers. SUP rowing boats and canoes also sway at the pier. Eutin is also located directly on a well-developed water hiking trail network that leads over 60km to the Kiel Fjords. Golf fans can book a taster course for Gut Waldshagen directly at reception. Gourmets feast their way through the partner restaurant directly in Eutin.
Tip for horse lovers: right next to our nature campsite is a riding stable that offers rides and lessons on the site. Horses you have brought with you can also be kept. Just a few kilometers further is Gut Rothensande, the legendary "Immenhof"

Our week at the Prinzenholz campsite was great, we felt at home right from the start and were able to relax very well :-) There are many small, useful details that made our stay better (herb garden, family shower, great farm shop with regional products, crockery for hire and much more ).
Thank you for the wonderful time.

A standard pitch in a top location was advertised. If you stand behind a row of permanent campers with a distant view of the Kellersee, I don't think that's a top location. It's really a shame, because the place speaks for itself and doesn't need this lurid advertising. Unfortunately, pitch no. 32 slopes so steeply towards the lake that we couldn't stand even with wedges anywhere near straight. Otherwise everything tiptop. Super shower rooms, everything clean. Electricity, fresh water and gray water on site. We rode our bikes every day. From the square straight into the forest, very nice.
How was the contact with the host?
The hosts are friendly and accommodating, and there was always a treat to hand for our dog. They run the place very professionally, respect.
Tips for new guests?
If you prefer quieter surroundings and want to be spared any unpleasant surprises, you've come to the right place. However, you should still be able to walk reasonably well, because nothing works without gradients.

Both Anna and her husband Marcel were very kind and helpful. Got a free coffee in the morning and even breakfast for my dog! Also they arranged a mechanic for my car. The camping is big, with caravans and campers quite lined up, and tents with private spaces on different levels. Very green surroundings, beautiful views of the lake, spacious and clean bathroom building. Also bicycle rental, bbq area, beach, boats, a cozy coffee bar with small market and 3 cute tiny houses for rent. Recommendable!
