The Martinshof between Hausach and Fischerbach in the Kinzig Valley / Black Forest
The Martinshof is considered to be the oldest farm in the entire Kinzig Valley. The historic Black Forest farm between Fischerbach and Hausach was probably built at the end of the 11th century and has always been the cause of numerous turmoils and disputes. In its early days, the Martinshof was still owned by the Alpirsbach monastery. The Martinskabelle probably came into being at this time.
The Martinshof stands on approximately 30,000 square meters of land with meadows, orchards, a very large area for possible parking spaces - the former riding arena, for example.

Coming from Hausach, it is best to take Hasenfelder Straße - the district road K5357, and turn left into the courtyard - Martinshof - directly at the chapel (on the right, elevated!).

Is there fresh water at Martinshof?
The Martinshof has its own spring water supply, like most Black Forest farms. We recommend boiling the water before drinking it to prevent possible intolerances.

Can a shower be booked at Martinshof?
The planned outdoor shower is currently being built - we are confident that it can be booked until next season. Otherwise, the Kinzigtalbad in Hausach is about a 7-minute drive from Martinshof. By bike, it is about 14 minutes.
