About this campspace

Le Jardin de Gaya, an idyllic spot on the banks of the Semoy River, with a large pitch where you can settle in comfortably. All you have to do is enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside.

You'll have a view of the Semoy as it meanders through the landscape, cascading between the rocks. The sunset gilds its reflections. All around, a bosky bower of greenery, the forest on the heights, the great oak on the banks of a small stream, hedges of wild grass. The song of the birds and the sound of the water, the blue of the dragonflies and the colors of the flowers, the warmth of a campfire in the evening or the freshness of your feet in the water on a hot day... It's a feast for the senses, a bath of tranquility.

The activities
Hiking (departures directly on foot or easily accessible by car), cycling (greenway on the doorstep), kayaking (rentals a few kilometers away), climbing (free access with your own equipment at Roc la Tour), fishing (with your fishing permit, on site)...

There is only one pitch at the moment, and our house is at the other end of the field. You will have independent access via a road which leads onto the greenway (slow traffic). You can then park your vehicle on the upper part of the pitch which is the flattest and/or set up your tent there.
On the site you will find a table with benches sheltered by waterproof shade cloths. Garlands of solar bulbs provide soft lighting when night falls.

Sanitary facilities
A wooden cabin at the entrance to the site houses your dry toilet and your solar shower. You have access to a nearby outdoor water point to fill your shower bag before letting it heat up in the sun and hang it in the wooden shower cabin. If necessary you can also add water heated on a stove or over a wood fire. Please choose natural soaps and shampoo.

The equipment
Guaranteed disconnection: absolutely zero telephone network and no wifi.
The small kitchen unit includes a gas stove, a large insulated cooler, a water fountain to fill at the drinking water point and a basin below to collect water from washing hands or dishes (to empty at same water point). We also provide you with some utensils (strainer, spatula and barbecue fork as well as a grill to put on the campfire).
You have access to a freezer nearby which allows you to obtain ice packs to keep your products cool in the insulated cooler.
In the same place you will find a socket to charge your phone.
A compost will allow you to throw away your green waste, a sorting bin for packaging.
