Nice fun quirky place.
Our first shelter trip, so didn't know what to look for.
But a nice shelter, with a nice and well-equipped campfire.
right from the start the animal knew we were there.
There's something special about a camel's head just poking through an opening...

How was the contact with the host?
Super contact, Henrik was ready to meet us. Good communication.
And was really good at talking about his animals.

Tips for new guests?
Try it!

We (grandmother with son and grandson) had a shelter overnight with Henrik from 25/7-2023 to 26/07-2023.
It was a great success for all 3 of us. We got a fantastic experience out of these days, certainly not least because of Henrik. The grandson really wanted camels, horses, donkeys and especially the chickens.

How was the contact with the host?
There was no response to the 2 emails I sent. The first mobile number I tried gave no response either; but when I read my booking closely and called the mobile number here, there was a super nice contact between us.

Tips for new guests?
The only thing you need to bring is personal service and cutlery. Everything else is in the covered 'kitchen/living area'.
The fire sticks we brought were redundant.

The camel shelter is the best place in the whole world to unwind from everyday stress and too much screen time. We had the children with us and they enjoyed themselves with the cute animals.

Lovely experience in the outdoors - with totally peaceful camels as neighbours. Next time I will bring the kid, he would love it.

How was the contact with the host?
Super good, couldn't wish for more. Quick response and friendly.

Tips for new guests?
Bring a few bags of carrots - they go down quickly, the camels and donkeys love them.

Absolutely fantastic experience! Much more than we had expected, we had the opportunity to ride a camel and a donkey and collect fresh eggs from the chickens. Can heartily recommend it.

Very good! Henrik is really nice and very helpful and responded quickly to messages before arrival.

It was the second time we stayed overnight in the shelter and it was still fantastic. So now it has become a summer tradition. Henrik always has plenty of time to talk about the animals and is really good at involving the children by, for example, helping them feed the animals.
It's a great experience to sleep with the animals, who lie very close to the shelter and snore and fart :) and keep a keen eye on the cooking...

How was the contact with the host?
Henrik is a fantastic present and welcoming host who is very helpful and happy to share his knowledge about animals. We have felt very welcome.

Super nice and cozy shelter place - and fantastic to be allowed to get so close to the animals.
We had read a review about remembering carrots for the animals - so we brought that along and could feed them a little. Lovely. Mega cozy place, and certainly not the last time we've been there.

How was the contact with the host?
Quick and good contact with the host.

We went on our first shelter trip and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. We were well received and we heard many good stories. It was a great experience for both children and adults to meet the animals. It is clear that they thrive and great to be allowed to ride on Abu. We will definitely return when the weather is better 😊.

It has been an amazing animal experience to be so close to camels and donkeys. The place is built with the greatest respect for the animals, and you experience being really close. There is a nice peace and quiet in the area.

I'm been charmed. By a French giant donkey named Monique. And of Abu, Jasmine and two other camels, ordinary (LARGE) size. We shared shelter space with them Fri-Sat. It's a little crazy but also really a great animal experience to be allowed to get so close, feed them, cuddle them behind the ear. They slept two meters from us and were very, very curious. These are animals born into circuses and zoos, which now go and enjoy themselves in a field in Dronningmølle. High animal welfare. I'm not saying what we smelled like when we got home ... but top notch micro adventure experience. Recommended for families with children and other great animal friends

We had a lovely overnight stay in the shelter, where Henrik told with great enthusiasm about his animals. There is no doubt that he knows a lot about them and loves them. It was a fun experience to be so close to them. There was the opportunity for bonfires in the evening, there was firewood and lighting at the shelter.
