In the Gard department, 25 km from the papal city of Avignon and 20 km from the Pont du Gard, in a setting close to nature and respectful of the environment, a place to stay for an evening or a week for people wishing to visit the region. Put the car down, take out the bikes or hiking boots and ... breathe!
On my property, you'll find an oasis for an evening or more. No noise except that of nature, beautiful landscapes, a medieval village overlooked by an 11th-century castle and historic monuments. You're in the Gard Rhodanien.
The activities
Signposted hiking trails criss-cross the woods, making for pleasant walks and cycling. Visit the village with its historic monuments (chapel, old twin wash-house, etc.), the medieval part of the village and access to the Castellas (consolidated ruins of an 11th-century castle), the wine-growing plain with local producers of Cotes du Rhone wines.
Other things
Electricity is 100% solar-generated, and water from the well can be used for washing and other purposes, but is not directly drinkable. Bottled mineral water is available free of charge. In the village center, you'll find a bar-restaurant, pharmacy, bakery, tobacconist, hairdresser and post office. On the outskirts, a U store with gasoline, electric vehicle charging stations, car wash, laundromat and Mondial Relay point. Pets are allowed on condition that they are sociable and discreet, and only after having been notified at the time of booking.

This is a quiet place, where nature is at home and must be respected (LPO bird sanctuary). I live on site and am available to respond to your requests or needs. O'Malley, the cat, lives here; any other animal disturbing its tranquility or that of the environment will not be welcome. Vehicles are parked inside the property, which is closed at night and secure. If you have any questions about the number of people allowed, the possibility of lending a tent or staying in a 2-seater Teardrop (extra charge), please contact me via the HomeCamper messaging system.
