Hello dear friends,
We live and share common spaces and tools that we wish to develop according to the desires and needs of the people present on the premises.
Each person's private spaces are outside the collective spaces: light habitats, isolated rooms...
We operate horizontally, with time for reflection, work and living.
The farm is hosted by the association and covers 10 hectares.
Its aim is to provide access to land for use, and to support and facilitate projects.
Our aim is to experiment collectively with agro-ecology, peasantry and reversible construction projects, all based on egalitarian, self-management and permaculture principles.
There are currently three permanent residents: Sophie, her 2.5-year-old son Sélen and Chloé, who lives on the other side of the valley. We have a dog, Lota. There are often visitors, for an hour, a day, a week or several months. We're in the process of breaking in and are new to the whole agro-ecological side of things, but we're determined to get the ball rolling on food-producing agriculture.
We'd be delighted to offer you the chance to pitch your tent or truck during your stay! You'll have access to dry toilets, sanitary facilities, drinking water and an electricity point (although extension cords are not available). You can also use the shared kitchen.
We've set up a small kitty for the use of the communal areas. :)

Hello dear friends,
We are Tortuga, a small 17th century farmhouse perched on the side of a small Cotentine valley. We live and share common places and tools that we wish to develop according to the desires and needs of the people present there. Everyone's private spaces are located outside of collective spaces: light housing, isolated rooms, etc.
We operate horizontally, with times for reflection, work and life.
The farm is hosted by the association of the same name (formerly "les Fonds de Terroirs) on which 10 hectares extend. Its aim is to provide access to land in use and to be a promoter/facilitator of projects.
We wish to collectively experiment with agro-ecology, peasantry, reversible construction projects... all on egalitarian, self-management and permacultural principles.
Currently, there are three of us permanent residents in Tortuga: Sophie, her 2 and a half year old son Sélen and Chloé who lives on the other side of the valley. There is a dog, Lota. There is often a passage, for an hour, a day, a week or several months. We are in the process of getting started and are new to the development of the entire agroecological part, but are determined to launch a dynamic of subsistence agriculture.
We would therefore be delighted to offer to pitch your tent or truck during your stay in Tortuga! You will have access to dry toilets, sanitary facilities, drinking water and also an electricity point (however, it is not possible to install extension cords). You can also come to the shared kitchen. We have set up a small pot at a free and conscious price for the occupation of the common areas. :)
