About this campspace

I must stress that there are NO FIRES OR OPEN FLAMES OF ANY KIND. Colman stoves are acceptable. Guests must be mindful of rattle snakes. Cell phone service may not be available in all areas. We are not responsible for accidents or loss of property.

We live in the country with no close neighbors other than cows, Antelope, Mule Deer, Fox, Coyotes and the occasional Rattle Snake. We have a large Antelope herd that lives on out property making both firearm and bow hunting a treat.

The activities
Guests are encouraged to join us for family meals, $10.00 per person, per meal (please just let me know ahead if you will be wanting the meals). We have a large wraparound porch guests may enjoy as well. In the town of Lusk, about 15 miles away, is shopping, a swimming pool, bars, food and a museum of the "Old West". The 3rd weekend of July is "The Legend of Rawhide", we are only 1 1/2 hrs. from Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse and all the Black Hills has to offer!

Other things
I must stress that there are NO FIRES OR OPEN FLAMES OF ANY KIND. Colman stoves are acceptable. Guests must be mindful of rattle snakes. Cell phone service may not be available in all areas. We are not responsible for accidents or loss of property.

We welcome tent campers, RVs and Motor homes for camping. For electric hook-up we are able to accommodate a few RVs or Motor homes but that can fill quickly during hunting so you may want to bring a generator. We have LOTS of land and campers may choose to camp near the house or out on the prairie. Prices for RV and Motor Home Camping - $50.00 a night for RV's, $60.00 night for Motor Homes.

The sanitary facilities
We unfortunately do not have toileting facilities but, there is an OUTHOUSE & a truck stop 5 miles away offering bathrooms and showers.

The amenities
For RV camping there is some limited electric hook up available. For Tent campers it is primitive camping only. NO CAMP FIRES OR OPEN FLAMES (WY is very dry and open fires are a prairie fire hazard) however, campers are welcome to use our grill which accommodates both gas and charcoal and I offer home cooked meals for $10.00 per person, per meal. If renting the Bunkhouse it comes with a fully equipped kitchen.

Tent ready
Tents of all sizes are welcome. Tent camping is PRIMITIVE. No toileting facilities but there is an OUTHOUSE. NO CAMPFIRES Meals are available at the house for $10.00 per person per meal. Tent camping guests may use our porch and grill which accommodates both gas and charcoal. Tent campers may choose to stay near the house or are welcome to hike our land to choose a site. Regardless of location tent camping is $45.00 per night for up to 4 people and another $5.00 per extra person. Again, NO FIRES OF OPEN FLAMES. We are not responsible for accidents or loss or property.

Your host, Dawn

My family has a 3200 acre working cattle ranch in Eastern, WY in a quiet, rural part of the rolling prairie. We enjoy meeting new people and would like to share our land with hunters interested in Antelope hunting or anyone who enjoys the outdoors and fresh air. We are offering our hay fields and some of our pastures for camping and also welcome campers up at the house - our 2600 sq. ft. log home. Campers at the house may plug in to the electric, in field is primitive camping only. We do not have toileting facilities but a truck stop 5 miles away has bathrooms and showers. Further, I offer hot, home cooked meals for $10.00 per person, per meal and we also rent out our "Bunkhouse" - a 30 ft. 5th wheel our ranch hand used to live in on the ranch. It is fully equipped with bedding, towels, dishes, pots and pans, A/C, heat, etc...It has a queen sized bed & couch. Sleeps 3. That rents for $75.00 per night and both Bunkhouse guests and campers are welcome to enjoy our wraparound porch and grill. We are easy going outdoors enthusiasts ourselves and wish to welcome any and all guests to join us!
