Yurt
Welcome to the Cévennes at the perched yurt.
Perched because it sits on a beautiful wooden platform between mountains and forests, surrounded by cascading terraces that take the sun hostage and provide shade for siestas. Life outside, in the fresh air. Walks galore and the Chassezac, a divine plunge into clear water, within easy reach of the lucky few. Wild to the extreme for some, on the bangs for others. A little piece of elsewhere, a little piece of something else.
The perched yurt is not unique; there are many other yurts in magnificent locations, so beautiful is this country!
The perched yurt may stand out for its environment, its setting - a Cévennes hamlet far from any hustle and bustle, with no light pollution at night. Above all, it stands out for its hostess's determination to offer a sober, comfortable place, where the essentials are not lacking. Self-sufficient in water and energy, it requires your active participation (managing your water consumption in general and the production of hot water, dry toilets, compost...). The yurt is therefore an experience in happy sobriety, for the duration of your vacation...

My name is Sylvie, I live in a remote hamlet in the Cévennes, magnificent, calm, spring water, wild animals and river... I have lived and worked 15 in Africa and Madagascar, I love India and old Europe too, solidarity and collective intelligence. Passionate about history, plants, in awe of nature, suspicious of all things in -ism.
There is a beautiful yurt with outdoor but covered kitchen and bathroom... this place deserves to be shared. Notice to amateurs!
