About this campspace

The space I'm offering, part of an old traditional Podlasie farm, consists of a large garden, meadows, clearings, woods and undergrowth on a few isolated hectares near the Bialowieza forest.
No comforts. That is, only a dry toilet and water in moderate quantities, as the well has only a modest flow. A spring is also available on site. It is possible to set up camp nearby.
This can be a place to drop off, pass through or rest for a day, a week or a month, for those who want to recharge their batteries in peace and quiet, without having to worry about where to set down.

The terrain is vast enough not to get in the way if social interaction isn't your thing.
The only obvious requirements are to keep the site in its original state, and to respect the peace and quiet, the wildlife and the flora.

If you're interested, just contact me to make arrangements.

I'm located in the commune of Losinka, 17-210 Narew.

Pets allowed. I have a large, rather sociable dog and cats. It's up to you to take care of your pets.
Horses welcome. There is plenty to eat and drink, but there is no fence.

The price is for one night with motorized vehicle. From the second night onwards, the price is reduced by 10% for each additional day, until it reaches half the basic rate.

For walkers, cyclists and horse riders, the one-night stay is free of charge, or for those who are uncomfortable with it but still wish to pay something, the price is free. For longer stays, the basic rate applies.

NB. The traffic restrictions that Poland imposes from time to time, depending on circumstances, on the approaches to the Belorussian border do not apply to this site.

In the heart of nature. On a plateau with many views. Close to the Bialowieza primary forest.
Views over vast expanses. Big skies. No noise. No roads nearby. No neighbors. Rich flora and fauna. You'll see deer several times a day, storks flying over your camp in summer. In autumn, winter and spring, herds of bison and elk roam the landscape.
The house and buildings are on the roadside, with the land extending five hundred meters back.
You can choose to set up on the roadside or at the back of the plot.
You can set up in the sun, in the shade of trees or in semi-shade, in wilderness or mowed areas.

The activities
The location and region are particularly well suited to rest and rejuvenation. The predominantly flat, gently undulating terrain, situated on a plateau with beautiful views, is ideal for walking and, above all, cycling. Even on asphalt roads, there's very little traffic.
Swimming is possible in the Narew river or in ponds just a few kilometers away.
Swimming pool with children's playground 12 km away. Various tourist activities, especially in Bialowieza, which can be reached by bike through the woods.
Sailing and water sports at Lake Siemianowka.

Other things
Don't lose sight of the fact that what's on offer is a large, empty space, without much more.

Pitch for Tent, Caravan, Van, Motorhome

Bring your own
  • Tent

  • Caravan

  • Van

  • Motorhome

No specific pitches. Wooded land with meadows, woods, undergrowth and clearings, mostly flat, on the edge of a plateau with distant views.
As I don't accept the presence of many people due to the rusticity of the facilities and the desire to preserve the wild, bucolic aspect of the site, it is possible to be completely isolated out of sight, or on the contrary to set up closer to the buildings and the path.
Wild sites or mowed areas not far from the buildings.
A spring in the middle of the grounds is available for use, but it is considered potable, without guarantee, and unanalyzed. At the very least, I recommend filtering it (Bexley or other) for human consumption, under the responsibility of the user. There's a small pond where you can take a dip or even swim if the season isn't too dry. Otherwise, the clay is excellent for a mud bath.
A few kilometers away, you can bathe in the Narew River, again in the midst of unspoilt nature, with large ponds in the vicinity, or a little further on, the very large Siemianowka Lake, all accessible by bike along country lanes, through woods and meadows.

The sanitary facilities
Dry toilet only.
I do not authorize the discharge of sanitary facilities on the site, except for grey water: showers, washing-up, laundry, far from drawing points, to be agreed on site.
The well has a limited flow in summer, so use it sparingly and share the resource.
You can use the spring as much as you like, but be sure to keep it clean.
Depending on the quantity of water available, a very long hose is unwound in the sun, enabling you to shower and wash up with hot water.

The amenities
Water can be drawn moderately from the well. It is filtered, notably by a ceramic filter for drinking, but its potability is a matter of course, not a laboratory guarantee.
Phone and small equipment can be recharged at home and/or from a garden socket.
Private washing machine can be used sparingly, always for water reasons, at a cost of 15 zlotys or 20 zlotys with natural washing product (Marseille soap + potash + bicarbonate + percarbonate for the whites + vinegar for rinsing).

WiFi available in the vicinity of the house.

Electricity may be provided (plug in the garden) at a cost to be agreed. Extension cord to be provided by user.
