About this campspace
Pitch your tent on one of our nice spots Wood chop or Firewood 1 (wooden platform) and relax at the foot of the Chartreuzen forest. The ideal place for a nice walk or bike ride close to Leuven or through the beautiful Hageland. Just doing nothing and relaxing on and around our site is of course also possible. In the evening you can make a nice campfire near the camping spot (wood is available) and enjoy one of our delicious regional beers that are available from us.
There is a building with toilets, showers and a kitchenette that campers can use.
Dogs are allowed, but because we are located in a nature reserve, they must ALWAYS be on a leash, no exceptions are made!
Maximum 2 consecutive nights per group.

Nice contact with Machteld, without fuss. Her 'open kitchen' is very practical (especially if you only go out for 1 day/night and don't want to carry all the kitchen utensils with you). Also a great range of local beers and pear juices!

Lovely camping spot in the middle of the forest. We camped in the forest, very nice and spacious surrounded by wood which gives you a very cosy feeling. You can use the kitchen and there are excellent sanitary facilities. In short, luxury camping! We were warmly received by Machteld and Bruno. Great base for walking, cycling, and mountain biking. You are between the cycling nodes, hiking nodes, and on a mountain biking route. Really highly recommended!

A fantastic place to camp!
Nice camping site and beautiful surroundings for walking and enjoying nature.
We were lucky with the weather, but were very happy to have a campfire in the evening and morning to warm us up. The children enjoyed themselves in the beautiful piece of play forest and we enjoyed the peace!
We had packed our things well, but if necessary there was also all kinds of things to help us out of the emergency.

Located on the edge of the forest, there are 2 possible camping pitches available: a large space surrounded by protected timber and a second camping site with a wooden floor/platform. The radiance and fullness of amber tones and wood scent will meet you. A third camping site (wooden floor and platform) is planned but not yet available. Lots of forest fun and very child-friendly en-group environment and activities are possible, because there is a complete infrastructure with kitchen, toilets and showers available. Limited on-site parking. Very friendly and helpful reception by host Machteld.

Our hostess and host were friendly and warm…we got a place behind their house, near the edge of the Chartreuse forest. The camping pitch was certainly large enough and it really felt like our own private place. We were still on the piece where wood is chopped, there were some leftovers and stumps of wood. With some creativity and some imagination we made our own “table” from the leftovers. The facilities of sanitary and kitchen were very neat. We were also allowed to use a fire pit every night. So don’t forget the marshmallows to warm up in the fire. We definitely recommend the site!
