About this campspace

Fontanafredda is a small mountainous locality, located in the territory of Cosio di Arroscia, in the province of Imperia. Located at 1050 m a.s.l., it is about 3 km from the town and can be reached exclusively by a dirt road on foot, by mountain bike, on horseback or by off-road vehicle or 4x4. Possibility of transfer with our off-road vehicle.
I offer my guests the possibility to stay overnight in a tent in a relaxing and exclusive location, where a farm of bardian horses resides.

The tent sites are in the vicinity of a stone hut built about 1930, a time when my husband's grandfather moved with his entire family up there to graze the flock and to grow wheat and lavender. Around it other dilapidated cottages crown it, offering a very rustic view.

The activities
The stay can be enriched by various activities more or less far away. Horseback riding, children's games with and without horses, horse watching and saddle baptism are possible on site. Other activities can be hiking, mountain biking, cultural visit to the Wellness Village, and catering.

The sanitary facilities
A dry toilet, camping shower and sink is in shared use near the plots.
The spring water is cold. Possibility to heat water on the wood stove inside the lodge.

The amenities
Guests can use the lower floor of the lodge, where there is a small tavern, equipped with a wood stove and gas stove. A barbecue grill is located outside. Wood is included in the service.
Tables and seating are located both inside the lodge and outside, under cover.
There is no electricity at the location but it is provided with spotlights running on solar panels. The light in the kitchen works with a power generator.
