Less than an acre site with parking alongside the dike road. At the beginning this is RV dry camping only. Coming in the future is access to the dock, electric and water hookup and tent camping options. For now, it gives you a beautiful view of Birnie Slough and Puget Island.
A beautiful spot alongside Birnie Slough with views of the slough and of Puget Island.
The activities
The area is great for kayaking, boating, fishing, hiking, sightseeing and photography. It also it fairly convenient for the ocean, both the Washington coast and the Oregon coast. It is about an hour to Ilwaco or Long Beach, Washington and to Astoria, Oregon. An hour and 20 minutes to Seaside, Oregon. Ah hour and 40 minutes to Cannon Beach, Oregon. (Or, if you are like me and stop to take lots of photos, a little bit longer.)
Close by are several boat launches, Julia Butler Hansen National Wildlife Refuge, Columbia White-Tailed Deer National Wildlife Refuge, Grays River Covered Bridge. Or, you could put your kayaks or boat in at a boat launch, park your RV at my place and explore the approximately 20 islands of the Lewis and Clark National Wildlife Refuge.
Other things
The prices listed per person are really intended to be per RV or tent. (No tent camping is allowed yet but will be available in the future.) So if you have one RV dry camping it is $25. If you have several 20' Class Cs it would be $40.
Things I enjoy include photography, videography, kayaking, boating, hiking, sports, the ocean, the mountains.
