About this campspace
Driving toward Astoria on Highway 30, you'll avoid the crowded beach towns entirely. Yet those same towns with their busy outlet malls are just a short drive from here. They're an easy day trip away from peaceful waters, the sound of birdsong in the mornings, and easy summer barbecues while camped beneath a dark and starry sky at night.
With limited campsites spaced amply apart, we are located just 20 minutes east of our historic and beautiful hometown of Astoria, Oregon, and as long-time locals we can tell you where to find ALL the special sites.
Our camp is family friendly (no loud parties please) with plenty of room to relax and places to explore. We offer group runs to and from outlying day use areas morning, noon and night with out-rigging services soon coming in 2018. Check out our website for local events calendar and read our blog.

Just 4 miles off Highway 30 we're at the end of Sylvandale Lane, a quiet country road amidst the beautiful and diverse Columbia River Estuary with waterways and trails for you to explore within walking distance from our camp.
You're going to awaken to birdsong in the mornings, eagle/deer/elk sightings at random times of day and sleep securely beneath a darkened starry sky in our privately owned campground. Owners live on-site.
This rural community provides emergency services 24/7.
The activities
We offer some of the best bass fishing you will ever see just minutes down the road from our spacious campgrounds where owners live onsite.
Locals love our area for hunting, fishing, boating, hiking, kayaking and canoeing on and around the Columbia River Estuaries this spot is known for.
Our campers love the serenity we offer here.
Campsites are spaced amply apart from one another with acres of space to roam.
Astoria is a worker's hub founded by John Jacob Astor and his famous Astor Fur Trading Co.
Here we host the oldest post office west of the Rockies along with many beautiful historic homes and museums, parks and theaters, and regionally and nationally acclaimed brew pubs and festivals where outdoor seating and live music can be enjoyed all summer long.

You might want to take in the views along our working waterfront. Mo's Chowder House (for their famous clam chowder) and Baked Alaska Restaurant offer expansive river views. A ride on the trolley is just $1 for the day and you can get off and on again at will. In Astoria, you've got to make time to just enjoy the river traffic. Peaceful! Robust. Our RIVER is the busiest place in town. Pilot boats are moored just off the docks on 12th Street, helping cruise and cargo ships from all around the world to safely cross the Columbia River Bar. Here in Astoria, they are anchored every day.
In addition to the well-maintained trails we offer within minutes from our campsite, we often recommend a visit to the woodland trails at Shively Park or the Cathedral Tree trail winding gently up to Astor Column (Google Coxcomb Hill) where you can overlook the Columbia River bar. This is where the river meets the Pacific Ocean just a few short miles away. There you'll find breath-taking views and a cool gift shop with souvenirs, if that's your thing.
Coffee shops, bakeries/bistros and full service restaurants are everywhere and offer only the freshest local and regional cuisine. You'll find them on every block. Before you go, you might want to shower up (ie: workout) at one of the gyms on your way into town, visit the sea lions at Pier 39, or take the family to the aquatic center for some hot tub and water-sliding fun. They've also got a toddler pool for the littles, a "lazy-river" therapy pool, lanes for die-hards looking to swim laps and lifeguards on duty always, of course.

Hey Campers! My husband and I live in the PNW and WE LOVE CAMPING! We're living on site, starting small with 6 campsites this year with 6 more coming next year and an outtrigging shed for biking and boating. We have room for some growth and expansion of our sites and services, but overall we want to offer campers something special, something different, away from the maddening crowds into the starriest of nights. Glad to be here among you fine folks!

Cancellation Policy
Guests who cancel at least 30 days before check-in date will receive a refund of the amount paid by them (excl. Campspace fees). If they cancel between 14 and 30 days before check-in, they will receive a 50% refund. Otherwise they will not be refunded.
Rules
Guests are requested to arrive prior to dark and leave a clean site by 1pm.
Children under 11 are required to be supervised by an adult at all times.
Sites are prepaid in full to hold your spot and card numbers will be held for all day use equipment rentals until equipment is returned intact.
Frisbees, horseshoes, volleyball are delivered for deposit only.
Our campers do like it quiet after 10pm, although group accommodations can certainly be made if you think you'll stay up later. We have 10 acres here, and only 18 campsites being developed presently so there is lots of room for your group's needs.
Due to strict observance of fire-season, smoking is allowed at the campsites only and we ask that you use the firebox to dispose of your cigarettes.
Sites are stored with firewood each morning. Bring your own briquettes and all supplies for cooking (if you wish); also available for purchase at the outtrigging shack during open hours only.
Owner assumes no risk for safety of campers and equipment.
Outrigging/Office Hours are: 6am-10am 12-2pm 4-6pm
