It was a pleasure to stay in the garden of Yannick and his wife. Even though er was a lot of rain in the days I was there. The family let me warm-up at their fireplace (it was so cold alone in the tent). I felt really welcomed!

Good and quick!

Lovely small campingspace. No noise, no parties. Very accommodating host. Loved the atmosphere.

There was even a large fridge available so you could store your food and drinks (ofcourse limited space, but enough for your dinner).

Our airbed was broken and Yannick even offered us to use his spare one. Since we were travelling light, we didn't bring a table, Yannick offered us one (without us asking).

Yannick also gave us a nice walking map with tips about where to hike. We loved it!

We had a wonderful stay. The garden feels natural and there is plenty of space without being on top of other tents. Plumbing is simple yet effective. A good place for those who are looking for greenery and who do not like crowds.

We had requested a place with shade and this was no problem. Our dog was also welcome and came to rest well at the tent.

The Maas flows right in front of the door and there are many walking routes and activities nearby. Use of the BBQ is free. There is also a great bakery within walking distance. The supermarket can also be reached on foot.

How was the contact with the host?
The host is friendly and thinks along with you. In addition to French, he also speaks excellent English and some Dutch.

Very pleasant and small campsite with plenty of shade. Electricity, tables and chairs available everywhere.
Trees to hang your hammock from.
No problems with mosquitoes, but had bites from grass mites.
Swimming in the Maas across the road from the campsite.
Only bad luck that there was just a children's camp a few houses away, so unfortunately a lot of noise during our stay ...
Only 1 toilet and shower in the same room, but there was only one extra family, so that certainly worked. This seems more difficult with multiple tents.
Cycle 13 kilometers to Dinant along the Maas (flat) along a beautiful route (partly on the motorway!).
We'd love to come back!

The first time camping for my daughters and they enjoyed it so much. With another couple we were the only 2 on the site so full of choice where we wanted to put the tent. Shower and washing facility was clean. Dishes was still with a garden hose but that should not spoil the fun (the host is still working on this). Unfortunately, it was a week of play for the children in the neighborhood (school), so from 8 o'clock in the morning loudly playing children and their supervisors .... Despite that a lot of privacy and in the evening fairly quiet.

How was the contact with the host?
The host is friendly and answers quickly. He leaves you completely alone which we like. He was also disappointed with the Kids week and apologized for this. (very neat as he couldn't do anything about it)

Beautiful garden with enough space for a number of tents, but it didn't feel crowded at all and there was more than enough space per tent.
Yannick came to receive us personally and showed us where to set up our tent. He had also set up a table with chairs for us.
You can rent SUPs here and cross the road and enter the Maas. The house and garden are located on a very quiet street.
We had a great time and will definitely come back!

How was the contact with the host?
Quick responses via email and he was also often present to ask him something immediately. No question was too much and he was always very friendly and helpful.

Tips for new guests?
Dishes and sanitary facilities are still under construction so at the moment it is still a matter of time with a garden hose and two bins for the dishes and an old bathroom. This one is clean and will be upgraded soon.

Sympathetic location, next to the Maas, campsite with nice corners in a garden, shade and tranquility.
But (still) very basic: washing dishes in plastic containers, without hot water or a clean place to put things. One room for shower, toilet and sink for the entire campsite, again basic equipment. The outdoor shower was not working yet.
We also found a dead mouse on the path near our tent that had apparently been there for a while. It looked like a garden camping trip that got out of hand, or a campsite under construction - which was ok for us, because it was quite a nice location, 1zz, but the price was not at all proportionate: we paid more than 70 euros for 2 people in one tent each , on 1 pitch, for one night. At 'real' campsites with more comfort I pay less than half that price. Maybe the host can check the way Campspace makes reservations?

How was the contact with the host?
Sympathetic reception and quick response.

Tips for new guests?
Call the host if you want to put 2 tents in 1 place, then you can perhaps pay a more normal price?

Review:
This is not a nature campsite as in a nature campsite. It is a wild tree-rich garden between other gardens and from those other gardens, especially in the evening, sounds of parties come: music, loud voices and laughter. During the day sounds of traffic and fighter jets.
The sanitary facilities are insufficient: 1 toilet/shower/sink for the entire campsite. So if someone brushes their teeth, the whole campsite can't go to the toilet. Door closes badly.
Washing dishes is done with a garden hose on a dirty plastic table. Washing water is thrown away in the garden.
A plus are the overgrown fruit trees, you can cook plum sauce yourself.
We left early..
Location: 5
Amenities: 3

How was the contact with the host?
Little seen.

Tips for new guests?
If you go, then max. 1 night, then the inconvenience is just manageable.
