We live with our two children and the dog in the beautiful Drogterstores on the edge of Drenthe. Our backyard overlooks the Reest and the border of Overijssel. The Reest is a stream that starts here and winds its way to Meppel.

If you are lucky you will see the deer running through the Reestdal.

Here you have the opportunity to set up your tent in our "food forest in the making". You will be alone, without other guests, so that you can experience the unique tranquility of beautiful Drenthe. There is a chemical toilet, cold outdoor shower and water tap.

In consultation you can eat from our vegetable garden!

Very nice place to camp.

It was our first time through campspace, so in the beginning we had to get used to sleeping in the garden of "strange" people. But in the end it went very well and you actually had little to no problems with each other.

The amenities are fine. With the very hot weather, even the cold shower was very pleasant.

It is a very quiet area with plenty of things to do. Walking in Dwingelderveld, a visit to Zwolle, ...

How was the contact with the host?
Very smooth contact. The hosts were very accessible for questions and responded very quickly. Also very pleasant children.

Very kind that we were allowed to borrow the umbrella base with the very warm weather ;).

Be sure to try Jonathan's burgers!

What a lovely place to camp!
2 nights fully enjoyed the peace in Drogter Storageen. Very nice distant views, with a lot of animals that you see passing. Too bad that in our case the weather was not always good, but we were able to relax here in peace.

How was the contact with the host?
Jonathan is a top host. Smooth contact in advance and during our stay. We had asked if we could use the BBQ so it was ready at our camping spot. And if you give the cat some attention, you immediately get an extra camping companion! Always fun!

Tips for new guests?
The beautiful open location of the camping site ensures that you can see everything around you well. Due to this open location, the wind has free reign. So make sure you check the weather in advance and bring enough pegs.
If you like to take walks, short or long, be sure to visit Dwingelderveld. Enough trails to fill a whole day!

A beautiful place in the middle of the meadows. We were able to set up our tent in Nikki and Jonathan's backyard to enjoy a beautiful starry sky for a night. It's a nice place in the middle of a food forest in the making. Definitely a nice place to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

The campspace is very nice and has the basic facilities such as an outdoor shower and toilet. Both very clean :)

How was the contact with the host?
Nikki, Jonathan and the kids are very friendly and welcoming. We also really liked the tour of the playground by the children.

On a clear night you can very well stargaze and hear special bird sounds.

Beautiful place, wonderfully quiet with a wide view.
The amenities are fine. Really camping and relaxing during our bike ride. The only point for improvement of the campspace was the lack of the soap pump. After we indicated this, the host immediately installed a luxury soap dispenser!
