About this campspace #s004646

Your host

Jolanda

At a charging point you can come and charge and discharge yourself. The campspace overlooks the Retiese meadows and has attractive ecological and sustainable sanitary facilities.
The plot of land is located behind the private garden and is of course finished to provide the necessary privacy.
The children have also been thought of. There is an imaginative play tree house at height with slides, swings, sandpit, playhouse built by the man of the house.
In the evening you can cook with your group around 1 of the 2 campfire places. There is a tripod with grid, baking tray, wok, Dutch oven available.
There is a natural swimming pond. This will be made available in consultation.

Both tents stand on wooden platforms and are equipped with lighting and electricity.

You can come glamping with us to get away from it all and take your own time and space, you can also go there to discover different charging/discharging methods.
At charging point we also provide charging days/weekends where we can put together a program for you in consultation where you, your family, your team, relatives, friends can discover different approaches. Not thinking with the head for a while and feeling with the body can do wonders in our feeling of happiness.

A selection of the possibilities are:
- yoga
- mountain biking
- supping
- horse-drawn carriage ride
- baking pots
- dance
- forest bathing
- ice baths
- haptonomic massage
- sculpting

We work together with various partners from the area to tailor-make a weekend. Meals can also be provided within a charging day or weekend.

When you stay overnight at our campspace, you can also book separate activities with or without supervision. (Sup, MTB, yoga, horse-drawn carriage ride,...)

More information about charging point? Find us on the world wide web or on the well-known social pages. ;)

Within walking distance there is a neighborhood supermarket with fresh charcuterie and fresh bread (on the weekend fresh rolls, croissants,...)
We also have a farm shop in the street for fresh meat, dairy and regional products.

We welcome you with open arms.

Would you like to come with a group or 2 families, there is the possibility to rent the 2 teepees. If 1 tipi is already occupied, we allow you to place your own tent.

Because we like to keep enough space for our guests, there are no separate tent places possible.

Greetings,
Jolanda & Koen
Evi & Luka

We are Jolanda and Koen and we have 2 beautiful daughters Evi and Luka. Koen is a wood-handy man who likes to roll up his sleeves for projects in sustainable wood where he can express his creativity. He made just about everything in the garden. (shower/toilet building, play tree house)

I like to be among people. I teach art education and teach dance and movement expression to children and young people. In addition, I coach people in motion (from mountain bike to yoga to various art forms) to stimulate energy and creativity.

In 2020, Oplaadpnt has sprouted, a company where various experts are working on recharging their own energy. For more info, search for charging point on the worldwide web or on the well-known social pages. †

As a family we like to go hiking, cycling, experience adventure and of course we like to be creative. Discover new places, on holiday (preferably with the tent or with our van)

See you soon maybe!

Greetings,
Jolanda & Koen

We are very satisfied with our stay. We were able to relax and the children had fun. All this in our own country! Both our children (4 and 7 years old) have played a lot in a nice tree house made by Koen himself. It was very soothing, quiet and fun! We enjoyed a campfire in a quiet and beautiful environment, hot shower in a cabin without doors and a friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended, both for people with children and without!

How was the contact with the host?
Top! Jolanda and Koen are top hosts! Friendly, committed and creative! It is striking that they do their best to guarantee their guests a great stay! Everything is well thought out, from tasty marshmallows, games in the tent to coffee and bags that are ready to start the day!

What a magical place this is. You feel like a nature princess in the beautiful tipi tent! Cooking around the fire (get the fire on first 🀭) is so cozy and the outdoor shower is just gorgeous. We also went supping and yes we outclassed ourselves with the yoga sup! The taijine is a must.

How we enjoyed it!
Quiet location and relaxed atmosphere.
Good facilities for everyone: campfire, hot shower, fridge including some cooled drinks for the guests, excellent toys for the kids.
The toilet is just a little too low.
But the ride with the horse-drawn carriage alone makes that minus point disappear :-)

How was the contact with the host?
Contact with Jolanda and her family was great!
Fast responses to messages in advance, nice reception and always pleasant chats.
The kids also had a great time with the kids of Jolanda and Koen.

Tips for new guests?
Just go and definitely book the horse carriage if you go with small kids. (Ours are 5 and 7: ideal :-))

Amazing Experience! The place is beautifully designed and gives a sense of real disconnection from daily life. It's name Oplaadpunt means "charging point": indeed i spent two nights and felt rejuvenated by a very well organized and resourceful space. The place offers possibilities of quietness as well as many activities. The tents are as charming and welcoming as they look on the pictures. The lovely natural pool, the collective fire corner and the little wooden huts that shelter the toilets, the shower and the fridge provide a superb natural and respectful environment. As a parent i really appreciated the great playground that left me able to be at the fire corner while keeping an eye on my kid playing. It's also easy for kids to connect with other little guests and the pool is safely protected. I will definitely come back with some friends and enjoy more of this ;) ( Last but not least, this spot is located only 1H20 away from Brussels by car.....)

How was the contact with the host?
Jolanda, Koen and their two daugthers are the best people. Very good energy there ;)) The contact is very easy and authentic. Little details, such as marshmallows and tea waiting for you in the tents, or available local beverages show how Jolanda and Koen care for their guests. They also answered all my questions about what to do around.

Tips for new guests?
I highly recommend this place. The nature around is beautiful and there are many activities close. Limburg is a cycling paradise! At a 35mn car distance, you'll find the amazing Cycling through the trees and Cycling through the water architectures by Lanschapburo.

Amazing experience! The peace and the view is fantastic and the playground and meadow to play in is great for children. The Prinsenpark is nearby, where it is nice to walk. Have a great weekend!

How was the contact with the host?
Open communication, very friendly, great people!

Tips for new guests?
- bring extra light when you take a shower in the evening, it is sometimes a bit dark.
- for large people, the eco toilet takes some getting used to. It's quite small to go in.

Quickly pulled out for 2 more days at this beautiful spot and also immediately our first campspace experience. What a bliss. We haven't had such a nice trip in a long time.
Due to the weather we didn't do the activities we wanted to do but we will come back. We especially went for a walk and wow what a nice places there in Retie! In the Prinsenpark you have the most beautiful ponds and especially peace and quiet, at the watermill it is also wonderful to stay and at the campspace spot it is wonderful to wake up to the sound of the neighbors horse. In the evening a cozy campfire, in the morning a delicious breakfast. It really was a bit like coming home. The privacy was respected and when they proposed whether they would also like to prick a marshmallow at the campfire, they sat down with the kids. The kids know very well that they are not allowed to come to the site unless you ask them yourself.

How was the contact with the host?
The contact was very smooth and clear, friendly and with respect. You could also ask for anything on site if you wanted. Blissful hospitable people with their hearts in the right place.

Tips for new guests?
The houses where you can shower and where the toilet is, is soooo original and made by the man of the house. It really gives an efteling feeling. For us it was really a bit magical to camp here. We would come back right away. (I have more photos but they are on my partner's mobile phone, so a mini impression)

Thanks for the warm welcome! My friends and I immediately felt at home in your spacious garden. The sanitary facilities in the form of fairytale wooden houses, the view of the Retiese countryside and the chirping birds provided an instant holiday feeling! It was nice to have a chat in a casual atmosphere and to learn more about your projects. And the ice swimming turned out, after some doubt whether we could handle this, a nice extra! Thank you for looking after us and good luck!

Hi Jolanda, Koen, Anja & the kids! What a beautiful part of the world you have. Throughout the weekend we regularly caught ourselves watching and enjoying the wide view.
It is something with the space that brings a wonderful peace. Every detail was right, from the sunrise and sunset to the odorless compost toilet and the wonderful outdoor shower. The Bell tent gave us the space to enjoy without feeling trapped.
We would like to thank you for the short, but very powerful weekend. It was right from the start, something that I (Glenn) has a lot to do with.
Because of the challenging activities you regularly came to take a look, something that felt very pleasant. We admire the drive and strength you want to put into your projects. And above all, we would like to thank you for making us feel at home. cheers! Glenn & Elien
