About this campspace #s004646

Jolanda

At a charging point you can come and charge and discharge yourself. The campspace overlooks the Retiese meadows and has attractive ecological and sustainable sanitary facilities.
The plot of land is located behind the private garden and is of course finished to provide the necessary privacy.
The children have also been thought of. There is an imaginative play tree house at height with slides, swings, sandpit, playhouse built by the man of the house.
In the evening you can sit around the campfire with your group. Wood and campfire place are provided.

You can come camping with us to get away from it all and take your own time and space, you can also go there to discover different charging/discharging methods.
At charging point we also provide charging days/weekends where we can put together a program for you in consultation where you, your family, your team, relatives, friends can discover different approaches. Not thinking with the head for a while and feeling with the body can do wonders in our feeling of happiness.
A selection of the possibilities are:
- yoga
- mountain biking
- supping
- horse-drawn carriage ride
- baking pots
- dance
- forest bathing
- ice baths
- haptonomic massage
- sculpting

We work together with various partners from the area to tailor-make a weekend. Meals can also be provided within a charging day or weekend.

You can find our own curated projects (menu a la chef) on the FB and Instagram page of charging point or on the website www.oplaadpnt.com

Within walking distance there is a neighborhood supermarket with fresh charcuterie and fresh bread (on the weekend fresh rolls, croissants,...)
We also have a farm shop in the street for fresh meat, dairy and regional products.

We welcome you with open arms.

Greetings,
Jolanda & Koen
Evi & Luka

We are Jolanda and Koen and have 2 daughters Evi and Luka. Koen is a wood-handed man who likes to roll up his sleeves for projects in sustainable wood where he can use his creativity. He made just about everything in the garden. (shower / toilet building, play tree house)

I like to be around people. I teach art education and teach dance and movement expression to children and young people. In addition, I coach people on the move (from mountain bike to yoga to various art forms) to stimulate energy and creativity.
As a family we like to go hiking, cycling, experience adventure and of course we like to be creative. Discover new places, on holiday (preferably with a tent or with our van)

We look forward to welcoming you.

Greetings,
Jolanda & Koen

Amazing experience! The peace and the view is fantastic and the playground and meadow to play in is great for children. The Prinsenpark is nearby, where it is nice to walk. Have a great weekend!

How was the contact with the host?
Open communication, very friendly, great people!

Tips for new guests?
- bring extra light when you take a shower in the evening, it is sometimes a bit dark.
- for large people, the eco toilet takes some getting used to. It's quite small to go in.

Quickly pulled out for 2 more days at this beautiful spot and also immediately our first campspace experience. What a bliss. We haven't had such a nice trip in a long time.
Due to the weather we didn't do the activities we wanted to do but we will come back. We especially went for a walk and wow what a nice places there in Retie! In the Prinsenpark you have the most beautiful ponds and especially peace and quiet, at the watermill it is also wonderful to stay and at the campspace spot it is wonderful to wake up to the sound of the neighbors horse. In the evening a cozy campfire, in the morning a delicious breakfast. It really was a bit like coming home. The privacy was respected and when they proposed whether they would also like to prick a marshmallow at the campfire, they sat down with the kids. The kids know very well that they are not allowed to come to the site unless you ask them yourself.

How was the contact with the host?
The contact was very smooth and clear, friendly and with respect. You could also ask for anything on site if you wanted. Blissful hospitable people with their hearts in the right place.

Tips for new guests?
The houses where you can shower and where the toilet is, is soooo original and made by the man of the house. It really gives an efteling feeling. For us it was really a bit magical to camp here. We would come back right away. (I have more photos but they are on my partner's mobile phone, so a mini impression)

Hi Jolanda, Koen and Kids
What a great place you have created! We fully enjoyed the peace, the view over the meadows (even from the toilet!), your hospitality, the spot under the willow tree, the delicious tagine, the campfire, .... in short, top, everything a campspace for us must be! The website and photos give a good indication of what you can expect!

Thanks for the warm welcome! My friends and I immediately felt at home in your spacious garden. The sanitary facilities in the form of fairytale wooden houses, the view of the Retiese countryside and the chirping birds provided an instant holiday feeling! It was nice to have a chat in a casual atmosphere and to learn more about your projects. And the ice swimming turned out, after some doubt whether we could handle this, a nice extra! Thank you for looking after us and good luck!

Hi Jolanda, Koen, Anja & the kids! What a beautiful part of the world you have. Throughout the weekend we regularly caught ourselves watching and enjoying the wide view.
It is something with the space that brings a wonderful peace. Every detail was right, from the sunrise and sunset to the odorless compost toilet and the wonderful outdoor shower. The Bell tent gave us the space to enjoy without feeling trapped.
We would like to thank you for the short, but very powerful weekend. It was right from the start, something that I (Glenn) has a lot to do with.
Because of the challenging activities you regularly came to take a look, something that felt very pleasant. We admire the drive and strength you want to put into your projects. And above all, we would like to thank you for making us feel at home. cheers! Glenn & Elien
