About this campspace

Because we ourselves love nature incredibly much and are often active in our garden, the idea arose to make our meadow available to campers. We are very rurally located in beautiful Wachtebeke, on the border of the Netherlands. That makes our place perfect to enjoy the beautiful nature.

You can stay here with your own tent, camper van or caravan, or you can leave everything at home and stay in our glamping tent! There is a lot of space in our meadow, with high grass as a demarcation. We like to keep it small so that everyone has their peace and privacy.

There is a sanitary block in our garden where you can take a hot shower in the open air for the ideal outdoor experience. There is a centrally located campfire spot, electricity.

Do you want breakfast in bed? Croissant, sandwich, coffee, tea and juice? Which can!

For entertainment you can also rent a canoe (packraft) here. You can discover beautiful nature in the area. Many walking and cycling routes cross our village. People and animals can fully enjoy themselves in the Heidebos or Kloosterbos and there is always plenty to do at the recreational domain Puyenbroeck.

We are working hard on the expansion, but you don't need much to enjoy nature, of course. Campers have everything with them and do not need much outside a blissful place,

Perfect for...

Lovely place to camp. With good sanitary facilities (open-air shower with good hot water and dry toilet). We used the breakfast service, which was excellent!

How was the contact with the host?
Good reception, Suzie is a friendly lady!

Nice place to relax for a while. The environment is very pleasant. The highway is barely audible.

How was the contact with the host?
Easy contact, flexible

Tips for new guests?
The campsite does not have the CE plug, but it does have the regular plug for mains power.

What a cool place! Nicely furnished with showers and dry toilets. Really back to nature with a bit of comfort. I slept there with our roof tent, the only disadvantage is that the highway is quite close and you are bothered by the noise. But otherwise wonderful 😍😍

How was the contact with the host?
Suzie had sent a message in advance that they were not going to be there, once home we received an explanation from the youngest daughter! He did great! 😍

Tips for new guests?
Bring a regular extension cable for electricity! For light sleepers in a tent, perhaps a little too much noise from the nearby motorway, otherwise a top spot!

Nicely equipped glamping tent on a cute little campsite, where the owners have made everything very beautiful with their own hands. Dear owners, who gave a warm welcome.

How was the contact with the host?
Good! Lovely people who also thought along with the walk in the area that we wanted to take.

Tips for new guests?
There is a little noise from the nearby road. Not a nuisance for us at all, but good to know!

What a beautiful spot! We stayed at this place at the end of August with our camper and two tents. The pitches are spacious, surrounded by wild flowers, perennials, saplings and natural elements (branched hedge, row of trunks, natural fencing, natural stone steps, wood). The atmosphere exudes holiday! There are two outdoor showers with lovely hot water and two dry toilets. We were there at a relatively quiet period at the end of August but I think sanitary scaling up is appropriate as I hear it is packed mid summer! At night you can hear the noise of the E34. This one rages in the distance. We could park this but is perhaps important for sensitive sleepers to take into account. We will definitely come back!

How was the contact with the host?
Very smoothly!

How was the contact with the host?
We were warmly welcomed by Marie, the daughter of the owners and were given a tour, what hospitality and what a good job she did!😀

Tips for new guests?
Make sure you have water in the tank of your motorhome because unfortunately there is no hose to fill with water, only a sink with a tap.

As a conclusion to our camper road trip, a bull's eye. Beautiful place, very well cared for and thought out, wonderful relaxation and entertainment with petanque.

How was the contact with the host?
Amical welcome and good explanation, warm contact and accessible.

Tips for new guests?
Tip for other guests; take an 'ordinary' extension cord with you (instead of a camping plug). Small change for the strawberry vending machine during the heath walk to Moerbeke. Coffee at Boscafe De Bubbel 👍
GFT with the chickens. And tip for ourselves during the next stay: paddle to Ghent by canoe.

Very hospitable, beautiful place to stand. Amenities nearby if needed. The tent for my parents was a success, everything has really been thought of. Tip would be just a slightly larger fridge if you want to bbq and want to keep the meat cool. Showers tidy, compost toilet may be checked a little more often when it is busy at the campsite for the presence of sawdust and emptying.

How was the contact with the host?
Fine!

Tips for new guests?
There are beautiful hiking trails in the Heidebos a few minutes away. You are not allowed in the grazing area with your dog, but you can still walk a nice 6 to 7 km on the outer edge!

The campsite is beautifully laid out and laid out. I would definitely advise you to go canoeing, you can share your wishes with Fré and then he will see which route is suitable. The campsite is like an idyllic picture, the hosts have really turned it into something beautiful and you can see that a lot of time has been put into it. There is enough space, we have been able to shoot archery and breathe fire in consultation with the host on site.

How was the contact with the host?
Communication with the hosts was very smooth, they were very helpful, friendly and polite. They very clearly indicated their expectations, which was very pleasant for us as a group of 12 people.

In one word...Fantastic!!!! We really enjoyed these 4 great days at this beautiful camping spot in the quiet village of Overslag (Wachtebeke). The pleasant and peaceful atmosphere that hangs at this camp site and the contact with Suzie and her husband and daughter of the house have certainly contributed to the relaxed and friendly atmosphere that we were able to experience during our stay! We will definitely come back again!!! It was just awesome!!!! The perfect place to relax and enjoy all they have to offer, away from all the hustle and bustle!!!

How was the contact with the host?
We were welcomed with open arms by Suzie's husband. It was a very warm and pleasant introduction. Just a very pleasant and hardworking family that will always assist you with advice and assistance during your stay at their "Campspace Fretime Travelling". After arrival we received a clear explanation about the different camping pitches and the use of the ecological toilet and the use of the outdoor showers with hot water!! A pleasant experience to shower in the open air, of course with the necessary privacy!! Thank you once again for your hospitality!

Tips for new guests?
Beautiful, quiet, well maintained camp site with clean sanitary facilities, really a must! From here you can also leave for an arrowed walk or bike ride. Even if you are with the motorcycle or the Trike like us, this is the most suitable place to depart from here for beautiful tours through the Polders across the border with the Netherlands or to visit the abandoned village of "Doel" near Beveren, it is definitely worth driving through!!

We stayed there for 10 days with our tent and 3 young kids. We really enjoyed our 10 days there. You can choose your own pitch, you will not be bothered by other campers. The plumbing and especially the outdoor shower is great.
You quickly get used to the noise of the highway and you don't notice it. We missed some rinsing opportunity but our kids were inventive enough. Investing in extra shade places is a must, luckily we were able to move to the only shade place.

How was the contact with the host?
The owners were traveling but the replacement was just great. We always received text and explanation, an extra chat.

Tips for new guests?
A very quiet and no-nonsense camping site that adorns in simplicity. We could be ourselves completely.
There is plenty to do with kids in the area: Puyenbroeck, Zeeland, Breskens, Cadzand,...

One word, fantastic! Beautiful place! Showering outside is really wonderful. Hospitably received and were able to find a nice private spot on the property.
The highway is sometimes audible (depending on the wind), but that didn't bother us much. Enjoyed here, recommended!

How was the contact with the host?
The owner herself was on vacation, but her brother took over temporarily. He came daily to chat, greeted you regularly. Appeared very hospitable, also had a lot to tell and was interested in you. Visibly enjoyed his role and if you had something, he helped immediately. Big plus!

The warm greetings from Groningen may be given to him from Elke and Jeroen!

Nice place and so close to home! A gem. Ideally located for walkers, but also a paradise for cyclists in this region. Small-scale what we are looking for and yet all the comfort. We had provided breakfast for eleven but heard from Oswald that we could still order this for a bargain price. What a stroke of luck, really tasty and a lot. We will come back with my grandchildren and then rent the glamping tent

What a nice place. We arrived at half past one and it was that 30 degrees. We had a spot near the trees and with the awning shade enough. To cool off, we rinsed off in the shower. Top spot! We were 8 families on a camping weekend and had a wonderful time. There is a lot of space on the meadow so that we could stand together. The sanitary block was cleverly made: 2 natural toilets, 2 outdoor showers with good running hot water and a place where you could wash dishes. We could use a fire bowl. The children could roam freely and safely.

How was the contact with the host?
Very good. Both in advance and on site they were very approachable and friendly.

Nice campsite that has been built with great attention to natural elements. The pitches for campers are quite large. A little more privacy would be nice but it is certainly more than ok. There are facilities such as toilet and showers. They are dry toilets and some more wood chips would be nice.

How was the contact with the host?
