About this campspace

We live on the outskirts of Bordeaux and are located 800 meters from the Bordeaux/Lacanau cycle path.

Saint Médard is the last large town towards the ocean and is ideally located for visiting the Médoc as well as the entire region (Bordeaux ring road 2 km away).

We welcome cycle tourists on their way to the ocean and wishing to join the Vélodyssée or traveling towards Bordeaux, as well as other travelers.

All shops and buses (line G) to visit Bordeaux 500 meters away. We are very close to Bordeaux-Mérignac airport (approx. 6 km mainly of cycle paths) and very close to the terminus of tram line D (approx. 3.5 km mainly of cycle paths) which goes towards Bordeaux Center and the St Jean station. Tram A nearby too. At certain times, it is possible to take bicycles on the trams.

Camping in our garden, very natural and flowery (especially in spring). Shady. Bird songs guaranteed! Quiet, no major roads nearby.

Large outdoor parking lot on the street side and possibility of parking your vehicle in the lot.

Water point and power outlet outside.

Activities
We can provide our ping-pong table and various equipment: badminton net, molkky...

Possibility, during your stopover, to leave the bike and take the bus to visit Bordeaux, a magnificent city to discover.

The TransGironde buses taking you to the ocean beaches pass nearby and allow you to go to the sea for a low price (€4.70 return).

Municipal swimming pool, 3 shaded and natural public parks, large equestrian center, CAP 33 summer activities, sand sports area, hiking etc... in the town

Other remarks
We welcome cycle tourists with pleasure, the cycle path being very close.

We also welcome holidaymakers in tents for short stays.

Possibility of leaving your vehicle in the parking lot located in front of our house if, for example, you are planning a loop bike trip starting in Gironde (but we do not provide security).

Breakfast possible.

Within a 500 m radius, various catering options (restaurants, takeaway, supermarkets, bakery, fast food, etc.).

There is a cycle store 500 m away (sales and repairs) as well as the cycle department of the Intersport store.

For stays of more than 3 nights, contact us. We are not intended to receive people on long-term business trips.

Perfect for...

Cycle travelers, vacationers wishing to discover Bordeaux and its region

I love creative hobbies, nature in general and my garden in particular. I also love making cakes! I am very sociable because I am used to welcoming visitors or tourists, particularly at home, but also in the Arcachon basin and in the Hautes Pyrénées. I also like camping and I dream of having a van
