Surround yourself with nature and row a boat at our small scale camping

About this campspace #s003910
Be welcome at our small-scale nature campsite in Hazerswoude village. We have an Araucaria nursery and are also delighted to receive travelers at the camping pitches.
The landscape around us is typically Dutch: green polder meadows, windmills, waterways and lots of water birds. We are surrounded by waterways and have rowing boats to discover the area from the water. We also have bicycles available to visit the polders, mills and surrounding farms. If you visit us by car, the cities of Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht can all be reached in 40 minutes. Smaller cities such as Gouda and Leiden are an hour by bike from us.
There are toilet and shower cubicles on the campsite for every two camping pitches. (In times of Corona, these are private.)
There is a large shared space in the greenhouse where you can quietly read a book, use board games, do yoga or just relax.

Sara is a friendly host! Contact in advance went smoothly and she was immediately helpful. The Campspace itself is super! Good sanitary facilities, a nice hammock, beautiful surroundings. Nice that we could borrow a rowing boat and were able to use the barbecue twice. The greenhouse of the Campspace is nicely decorated as a living room. A nice place if the weather is not so good, luckily we had a lot of sun! Sara recommended the cheese farm Sol, tip for future guests, check Google for opening times. After our fantastic camping trip we were able to enjoy a nice piece of cheese afterwards. The second hand shop in the village is fun to visit.
The reception was very warm, the owner Sara even went to the village nearby to get arm floats for our children. The environment is beautifully green and watery (fun for rowing!). Unique set-up of the campsite between the horticultural businesses and growers. Nice chill spot in the green house. Our children spent hours there with the board games. Definitely a place to come back to!
We had an amazing stay at this mini camping and would recommend it to everyone who love nature! We come from Leiden which is only an hour by bike! Toilet, shower and sink with mirror were very clean and new (and private!). There was even light and electricity to charge. The space to camp is quite big with your own hammock. You can borrow a rowing boat to explore the neighborhood (we even swam!). Also we used the cool fireplace where we had dinner and sat the whole evening. There is a cool green glass house with vintage furniture, a lot of plants, games and books! You can even borrow bikes for free to cycle around. We drove to Boskoop to get lunch at a restaurant terrace! The nearest supermarket is 12 min by bike in Hazerswoude-dorp. The owner is also really kind and helpful. Thank you for the amazing stay and we would love to come back!
I spent a total of 3 nights at Sara's mini campsite. What a party! Beautiful, spacious place on the water, super hospitable host, nice to have a shower and toilet nearby and to share them with one other place. We could use a rowing boat with which we sailed to a windmill and DIY lock, the ultimate Dutch experience, super fun! There is also a fire place at the end of the site and we could read books, play games in the large greenhouse that is furnished as a living room; handy for when the weather is not so nice! I would recommend this campspace because it has everything you need and more ...

The garden is a wonderful oasis of peace and beautiful nature. I spent the weekend there with a friend. We have sailed in the area, gelongboard and hiked and in the evening had a delicious meal with a setting sun + beer. In the evening we went to the campfire spot (a huge lid of a grain silo upside down) and there we met the owners. A super nice young couple with a lot of enthusiasm and good ideas. I'm going again this month anyway. What a wonderful place!

My experience camping at Tuin van Epicurus was great! Sara was very kind throughout the process and met us at the entrance to show us the spot and explain everything. The feeling you get upon entering the site is so homey and welcoming! The facilities are great and they have thought of little details that give a campsite just that little extra (large spots, pretty shrubs, more than enough toilet paper, soap, books and games..) there are rowboats and a great spot for a campfire... It was my dog's first camping trip so I was a little nervous but Sara was very kind and assured me I could bring her everywhere with me in case she got anxious. Needless to say; we had a blast (and a gorgeous sunset to boot!)

The campsite was really lovely. All camping spots are spacious and are located by the water. If you want to go to the supermarket, you can take the bike at any time without any hassle. A day of rowing is also possible without difficulty, grab one of the boats and put it in the water. You can then moor this boat next to your own camping spot. You can even go to the Albert Heijn by rowing boat, on the route you go through a lock, which I personally think is great.

The hostess was very friendly. The camping site itself was basic but met every expectation. The hammock was a nice extra. The free use of the row boats completed the experience. The environment is really beautiful. Recommended!
