Fairly level, soft grass site directly on the riverbank adjacent to a popular cycle path. Lovely village with typical windy streets and many Wineries. We were the only users of the pitch so it was very peaceful. No facilities on the field but we were offered the use of the toilet at the winery (didn’t need it) full five star rating as we loved it!

How was the contact with the host?
Walked to the winery after pitching up, and after ringing the doorbell, was greeted by the lady owner., who directed us to a lovely gentleman whose English was only as food as my schoolboy German- luckily his son had a good command of English, so I didn’t have to use my German much! We were given a private wine tasting with a selection from the 13 different grape varieties in this vineyard and bought quite a selection too!

Very friendly and helpful team.

Tips for new guests?
The field is soft so be aware of the ground after rains (we went during a sustained dry period) - though my guess is that the owner’s tractor could come in useful in the event of problem - we didn’t need that either. The area is busy even mid September and we didn’t see many vacant tables at the local eateries.

Beautiful parking space directly on the Moselle with fantastic hiking opportunities. Despite the adjoining street, it is very quiet here at night.

How was the contact with the host?
The contact was very pleasant. Manuel's father is very hospitable and accommodating. We felt very comfortable!

Nice place right next to the Mosel. We were the only ones on the field. The field is located right next to a large campsite, which is not a problem, but many people who walk between the village (where there was a wine festival) and the campsite on the cycle path.

How was the contact with the host?
Fine. Only briefly spoke to his father on the spot.

A super place with a great view.

How was the contact with the host?
Contact with Manuel was great. We couldn't find the place immediately, but after a phone call to Manuel everything was arranged. Fine. A quiet guest-friendly host.

Tips for new guests?
It is certainly worth visiting the Geier suspension bridge in Mörsdorf. 360 m long and 100 m high. The crossing is a thrill. Is only 15 km from the motorhome. It is a beautiful and special bike tour to Mörsdorf. Recommended!

...was very relaxed and very quiet for the location on the street, because the traffic is primarily on the other side of the Moselle. Would have liked to have had direct access to the Moselle for our SUP, but we could also get in 200 m further...It was a nice day...we'd be happy to do it again.

We always enjoy our cycling and walking holiday on the Moselle, the village of Mesenich is pleasant and cozy! We enjoyed warm summer days in Mesenich!

How was the contact with the host?
Manuel is a winegrower and has a nice Riesling, which we enjoyed.
Manuel came to take a look at the place, he is a friendly man.

Tips for new guests?
The site is self-sufficient, there is no water or electricity, but water is available at Manuel's home, about 500m from the camping site, there is also the toilet.

We camped overnight with Manuel on the Moselle. For us it was the first camping experience with our Caddy Camper, so it was exciting. Arriving at the meadow there were already a few other campers, but there was enough room for everyone. We had a beautiful view of the Moselle and it was quiet. A bicycle/walking path runs in front of your pitch. The road continues behind the place, but that didn't bother us, there was little traffic. The grass had just been trimmed, so it was certainly neat. You can use 2 toilets and sinks in Daniel's domain. (in the garage on the right) It was clean and only a 5 minute walk from the campspace.
So highly recommended!

How was the contact with the host?
Good, quick responses

Tips for new guests?
Definitely recommended, beautiful view and quiet!

Lovely spot right on the Moselle. We had plenty of space, camping guests next to our place had some jealous looks ...
The cycle path between us and the Moselle is well used, but no nuisance was experienced. Water can be obtained from Manuel 200m into the village. Manuel's wines are super good!!!

How was the contact with the host?
Very good, we were taken to our place. Very friendly and welcoming.

Tips for new guests?
Self-sufficient is important, there are no facilities on the site. Waste can be brought to Manuel, water and toilet can also be used with them.

A nice spot, with a view of the Moselle, only a bicycle path in between. On the other side there is a road, but traffic is light. Is a place to be self-sufficient. Water can be obtained from the host in the village (300m). There is also a toilet to use. Next to the field is a campsite. But no inconvenience. Actually a beautiful location.

How was the contact with the host?
Very good, Manuel brought us to the spot and had the whole field to ourselves. The owner also came to welcome us and was very hospitable. Fun people!

Tips for new guests?
Self-sufficiency is a must.

Small meadow with a direct view of the Moselle.
Wiese was reported as fully booked by the host with 3 users, although 3 more campers would certainly have fit. I see that as very positive.

How was the contact with the host?
Very nice 👍🏼

Tips for new guests?
Heavily frequented cycle path between parking space and meadow, here you will be stared at quite a lot with a roof tent. But still okay. Immediate country road quite noisy.

We were here for the first time. Op zich is het uitzicht mooi, maar aft je verloopt de hoofdweg, what the best thing is.

Also sanitair van de eigenaar toch wel behoorlijk verder way then thought.
We raise dan het sanitair van de camping ernaast used what naturally unique not is toestaan. That can't really be done!
He stays on board that het terrein uit veiligheidsoverwegingen wordt guarded and het used van two bathrooms and de sanitaire voorzieningen avenues for guests van de camping is. Het can kennelijk also not meer tegen betaling been built.
We will warn you about the following tomorrow before the rekening is presented! And that was behoorlijk hoog!

If the following will not happen again, you will be informed of this, plus a gift.
What is the best pijnlijk Kennelijk weten ze daar prices like camping guest is and how van building comes. cameras? 't It's maar dat je het weet!

Tips for new guests?
Individually all sent than ever werkelijk autark onderweg needed!

Our first weekend away with the new Sheepie roof tent, straight to an old well-known spot Mesenich on the Moselle. This small idyllic wine village already stole our hearts years ago and we have therefore often been on the Family campsite next door.
Booking this Campspace online went without a hitch, before I knew it everything was confirmed and paid, including a neat route description.
The place is fantastic if you take the road that runs behind it for granted and the bike path in front of your (roof) tent door. Furthermore, you are right on the Moselle with a phenomenal view.
The sanitary facilities are, as was told in advance, at a considerable walking distance, the advantage is that you probably go to the toilet less often, but if you really have to leave on time. There are no facilities on site, including no electricity, or water tap, etc.
We were sorry that with 34 degrees there are no shower facilities in the sanitary area, because swimming in the Moselle was discouraged due to blue-green algae. So we showered "illegally" at the Family camping Mesenich, which is known to us, which is located 100 meters next to this Campspace. We have tipped the landlord to make a shower facility.
In summary, a unique location for the real basic camper, for a fair price, with some restrictions, of which note!

How was the contact with the host?
We met Manuel on day two and received an invitation to get acquainted with the wines of the house. We had already bought into an old acquaintance of ours.

Tips for new guests?
We had scooters with us, because it is quite a walk to the sanitary facility. A toilet bucket also helps, of course.
The entertainment is locally very limited, for that you have to cycle or drive a bit further, depending on what you are looking for.
In the context of CO2 reduction, we drive electrically, among other things, make sure you have well-filled batteries, because charging points are rarely found in this area.
Wine festivals all the more, so if you like that, check the dates of the various events beforehand, we had a lovely toast with Bacchus!
There are no more shops in the village, in the season there is regularly a bakery stall on the campsite, eating out is excellent in Mesenich, there are various options for this if you just walk into the village

Very quiet and small village on the Moselle. The small meadow is right next to a family campsite where in the morning there is also a driving baker and you can get fresh bread rolls. (There is no supermarket / shop or bakery in the village.) Furthermore, Cochem and Zell are a 20min drive away. It is best to take your car or bicycle because public transport does not work very smoothly. The toilet is a 400 to 500m walk. Very well maintained and easily accessible even at night.

How was the contact with the host?
The first day we went to ask for water and this went very smoothly.

Tips for new guests?
Rent or bring a bicycle. Think of Cash money, in Germany they don't use the card that much yet.

In the middle of Mesenich, a small village bordering the Moselle, Manuel has a piece of land on which you can camp. Yes this can be boggy after much waterfall but our 4x4 had no problem with that.

The place is located exactly between the cycle path with the Moselle behind it and the motorway on the other side. We were not bothered by bicycles or cars, but enjoyed the beautiful view of the water and the many ships and pleasure boats that passed by.

Adjacent is a campsite whose rubbish area with wheelie bins is adjacent to the camping spots. But if you park your car properly, you won't notice it.

What is a disadvantage for some, but we have not objected, is that there are no electricity, shower or sanitary options. The toilet at the winery is indeed a 5-minute walk from the pitch into the village, but that is clearly stated in the description so cannot be a surprise.

How was the contact with the host?
After payment we received a message from Manuel with directions, very nice. Unfortunately, the place turned out to be more difficult to find than in the predetermined route, so we met owner Manual at his winery. Then he drove with us to point out the place. Friendly and helpful man.

Tips for new guests?
Be sure to visit the village, the wine cellar and the winery. Or walk through the orchards ;)
