About this campspace

We offer a (largely self-sufficient) mini camper, car with roof tent, camper van, motorhome, uncoupled caravan or similar up to a maximum length of 7m a simple overnight parking space for 1-3 nights. In the case of a caravan, the car can park in the yard.
--> IMPORTANT: Access to the parking space: height approx. 3.00m, width 2.80m, solid parking space surface. For safety reasons, only vehicles up to 2.90m high.
The space is small and simple at ~9m x 4m, but you can easily set up camping chairs and a table.
We simply want to offer travelers a safe place to stay overnight or enable them to take a short trip to the beautiful Franconian Switzerland.
The surroundings of the campsite are rather unspectacular: there are camper vans parked on one side, but the view over the wall to the Vexier Chapel and into nature is already beautiful.
It is on the outskirts of town, bats fly here at night, you can hear the cuckoo, rooster or pheasant calling, and on clear nights you can see a fantastic starry sky. I live in my tiny house within sight, surrounded by my wild garden. Two cats also live here, so please only bring dogs that are friendly with cats and keep them on a leash in the yard. You only need to walk 50m to reach beautiful walking paths for people and dogs.

Perfect for...

Solo travelers, nature lovers, hikers, climbers and much more.

Access possible with a normal vehicle.
In the town (5-10 minutes walk) there are shops and everything you need for daily life such as bakery, butcher, pharmacy, doctor, banks, post office, hairdresser, flower shop, petrol station as well as 2 pubs and a little outside a beer cellar with evening sun.
In the neighboring town, 1.5 km away, there is a supermarket and a bakery-café, which is also open on Sundays and public holidays.
FRANCONIAN SWITZERLAND is known for its beautiful hiking trails, climbing rocks, abundance of castles and density of breweries. You can go cycling or canoeing, explore caves and ruins, climb, swim in natural pools and in the river (locally or in Streitberg, for example), a steam train runs in summer and the Walberla, one of the landmarks of Franconian Switzerland, is practically on the doorstep. Less than 200m away there is also a volleyball and basketball court as well as a picnic and fire pit by the water.
DISTANCES:
A73 (Forchheim South): 10 minutes drive
Nuremberg: 35 min.
Bamberg with its UNESCO World Heritage Old Town: approx. 30 min.
Erlangen: 20 min.
Bayreuth: approx. 45 mins.
If you want to leave the car behind, the train station with connection to the railway line between Forchheim and Ebermannstadt is less than 100m away. The train stops twice an hour.

From May to October you can travel from Ebermannstadt to the Wiesenttal on Sundays and public holidays with the historic steam or diesel train.
IMPORTANT: Access to the parking space: height approx. 3.00m, width 2.80m.
Electricity is available directly at the pitch and is included in the price.
Refilling the canister with fresh water is possible by arrangement. There is a public toilet 50m away.
The Walberla (mountain), one of the landmarks of Franconian Switzerland, is practically on the doorstep, as is a hiking and cycling trail.
Less than 200m away there is a sports field with a football pitch, volleyball and basketball courts as well as a picnic area with a fire pit by the water.
The last photo does not show the parking space, but part of the immediate surroundings, which are constantly changing and where there are also permanent campers. Otherwise, the view goes over the wall into the greenery to the chapel and horses and to my tiny house. :-)
