EricThe manicured lawn available is part of the property of our house (formerly the forester's lodge) and is over 700 square meters in size. It is almost level and mowed weekly. Located on the outskirts of Engen im Hegau (LK Konstanz) (1 km from the center) it offers a unique view of Engen and the Hohenhewen. If there is a hair dryer on the slope behind the meadow after 150m ascent you also have the chance of a beautiful Alpine panorama. You can start hikes directly from the spot, for example to the Ice Age Park Engen. You can also hike from here to Hohenhewen and thus tackle the new premium hiking trail "Hegau Vulkan Tour". We also have very good conditions for cycling. Lake Constance is easily accessible via very nice side routes and you can alternatively use the very good train connection (Radolfzell - Engen from 19 minutes). In the summer months, the monthly ticket will only cost 9€!

Tell us about your experience
The place is beautiful! We stood on a meadow with a direct view of the Hohenhewen - the local mountain of Engen and after which the Hegau was named.
It was very quiet and we warmed up by the fire during a great sunset.
The next morning we went shopping in the farm shop of the neighboring farm. There you can get fresh bread, eggs, vegetables etc. directly from the producer.
If you want to explore the Hegau and Lake Constance for a few days, you will find the perfect starting point here!

He is very knowledgeable about the area and gave us some tips for things to do.
Tips for new guests?
Early in the morning, when it's still cool, start straight from the parking space and hike up the Hohenhewen. We walked, but estimate the time required to reach the summit at about 2 hours at a normal pace.
Take a look at the old town on the way back and get fresh rolls from the bakery or farm shop.
Those who have bicycles with them can also make beautiful trips to Lake Constance. Radolfzell is about 1.5 hours away by bike.
