Great campsite! There are no demarcated places and you can choose where you want to stand. An ocean of space. The sanitary facilities are quite basic, but OK.

How was the contact with the host?
Super. A very friendly man.

Excellent welcome by Lieven even though we had only booked two hours in advance. In the evening Maya came over for a nice chat. Too bad we were passing through because this historic place is perfect to stay for several days. Took a walk to the village and slept well in this quiet place. Excellent Campspace with all facilities that are neat and clean.

How was the contact with the host?
Contact was perfect with clear explanations.

Tips for new guests?
Book several days and enjoy this exceptional location.

Very nice and cozy campsite. Showers and toilets in order. Several places of water available. We stood on the tent meadow, which made us a bit 'separate' and it was very quiet. There are some chickens walking around.

How was the contact with the host?
We received very clear information in advance. The moment we arrived we were well received.

What a lovely place! Nothing said too much in the reviews we read before booking. The places are wonderfully spacious. We heard owls and woodpeckers, saw squirrels and stars. The facilities are fine. Worth repeating!

How was the contact with the host?
Lieven is hospitable, friendly and calm.

Tips for new guests?
Do not hesitate, but discover it for yourself.
The area is beautiful for cycling.
Book a brasserade at moulin mouflu. Eating in a beautiful garden with flowers and a view of donkeys and a llama. Within walking distance of the campsite.

A quiet monastery garden, ideal for setting up your tent camp, lighting the campfire and watching the shooting stars. There is always enough space for the children and the area is ideal for a good walk.

How was the contact with the host?

Very nice location, in a quiet area on the edge of the village of Wodecq (there is a café and a chip shop at the church 😉).
Ideal for a brisk walk or bike ride in the Pays des Collines.

How was the contact with the host?
Lieven is a calm, approachable guy. Everything was clearly explained in advance, which made it easier to choose a suitable place upon arrival. Lieven assisted with advice and assistance on site if necessary.

Tips for new guests?
You can buy apple and pear juice in the sanitary area. Only with cash, because you deposit the money in a jar. Tip for Lieven: hang out a qr code with payconiq? 😉

It was a beautiful location and a well-kept house. We did not expect that so much was provided in the gypsy wagon itself. My mother thought this was the best vacation we've ever had between the two of us. Very relaxing environment, just what we needed. We would love to come back!

How was the contact with the host?
Very friendly man. Contact over the phone went smoothly and he was very understanding when we lost our key. The concierge came regularly to see if everything was okay for us. What a cute man!

Tips for new guests?
Fire, small fridge, cutlery, etc. is already provided. Even hand towels! So don't take too much with you!

Scout Dirk & Linda About the scout program

Tell us about your experience
The campsite is a beautiful domain of a former monastery domain. In the building you will find the former common areas of the monastery school where now the private toilets and showers are allocated per camping spot.
You camp on spacious pitches with lots of privacy in a beautiful natural garden. Laying and maintaining natural gardens is Lieven's specialty.
For those who do not have a tent or camper of their own, there is also the possibility to spend the night in a cozy pipowagen with a private garden. In any case, we will do this again.

How was the contact with the host?
Maya and Lieven are extremely friendly and helpful.

Tips for new guests?
About 1 km walking from the domain you will find the Ferme Dorlou with an organic shop and the best bread in the area.
When we go back, we will certainly also do the cycling route “Between Bergen and Molens” of which you can easily find the GPS track on the internet.

A spacious, clean, quiet site. We received a warm welcome and received tips from the camping owners about walks in the region. Special monastery building to see and to shower in. The shower is very nice: good spray, warm and spacious private cubicle. In the evening we made a lovely campfire under the clear starry sky. I found the spring water to drink extremely tasty!

How was the contact with the host?
Very good

Tips for new guests?

Our experience with the campsite was very positive! It was the first time for us that we went camping with the van and the dogs, so we wanted a quiet campsite. It was also very well organized in connection with COVID-19. Each bubble had its own toilet and shower. In the morning we enjoyed the breakfast that was offered to us. Overall a great experience and we would like to come back!

August 2020 · Translated from dutch

Tell us about your experience
A very beautiful and spacious place, where we really enjoyed a subdued camping experience close to nature. The communication was somewhat sparse/out-dated and the sanitary facilities were also limited (for example no toilet paper and showers locked). It was also not clear to us that we had to order wood for the campfire in advance. So it took some searching every now and then, but it didn't color our experience too much.

How was the contact with the host?
Smooth and friendly contact.

Tips for new guests?
Bring toilet paper and order wood in advance :-).

A very nice place for free camping, between the imposing trees, in a beautiful region!

September 2022 · Translated from dutch

Tell us about your experience
For the first Campspace experience, this was a direct hit.
We slept 1 night in the shadow of the beautiful monastery building.
The toilets and shower rooms immerse you in the days of that time, but were in perfect order, clean and tidy.
In the large garden with free choice where you pitch your tent, there is enough space to get a spot full of privacy.
We slept in peace and quiet.

How was the contact with the host?
Everything was clearly explained in advance. A short visit from Lieven was pleasant, we didn't need more.

Tips for new guests?
For our overnight stay we paid a visit to Pairi Daiza, a 30-minute drive from the camping site.
On the day after the overnight stay we made a very nice walk in the music forest, also recommended for hiking enthusiasts.

Nice place, nice environment. Everything available for a short stay. Shame about a group of other campers who were very loud at the campfire late into the night, but that doesn't detract from the lovely spot. The second night it was quiet after Lieven's performance. The old pool could become a fantastic swimming pond :)

How was the contact with the host?
Very friendly, helpful. He told with pleasure about the fascinating history of the convent school.

It was a nice place to stay with our camper. The owners are very friendly people and gave us many tips about what we can do in the area. They only recently started renting out, in the future it would be great to have a place to wash dishes/leave trash and a play corner for kids.

Tell us about your experience
Beautiful location. Price/quality a bit expensive. What is described as private sanitary facilities is actually a toilet and shower with your number on it, but which everyone can use (and does). Shower and toilet are clean, but the building itself is not. Also no decent facility such as a garden hose to rinse your toilet from in your caravan. Everything is very basic. Would only go back for a lower price.

How was the contact with the host?
Host is not present at the campsite. Maya came by for 5 min to say hello on arrival. Didn't see anyone else. But there were no problems either.

Tips for new guests?
Take a long power cable with you.

June 2021 · Translated from dutch

Tell us about your experience
Not the peace and tranquility we were hoping for, the neighbouring village had a music festival that went on until the early hours keeping us awake, it would have been nice to be warned about this. This was our most expensive campsite of our 3 week trip but unfortunately the facilities weren't great, basic toilet and showers, although fairly clean, no WiFi, one outside sink for washing dishes (not covered so you'd end up with a soaking yourself in the rain). Lovely location just don't think it qualifies the price

How was the contact with the host?
Very helpful and friendly
