Small cottage surrounded by large spruce trees, far away from the city, and yet only 40 minutes from Copenhagen.

In the beautiful Zealand Alps, only a few kilometers from Brorfelde Observatory, in the middle of the Ice Age route and far away from noise and street lighting, is our cottage, with this small annex in the backyard - on the large plot in the middle of the forest. The cabin is nestled in a beautiful valley, with a small stream next to it, lots of birds and wildlife - and next door to the breeding ground for both the golden eagle and the red kite. Here is peace and quiet - and many fine hilly routes for walks, in one of Denmark's highest situated holiday home areas.

The cottage has two bunk beds that can be buttoned together into a double bed. A small electric hob with free tea and coffee, as well as crockery. Two retro folding chairs and a stable camping table that can be displayed on the small terrace in front of the cabin. Here is also a small oil radiator, some books and a turntable.

Camping toilet and shower can be set up (DKK 100) Otherwise, toilet / shower can be borrowed in the cottage approx. 40 meters from the cottage.

Here is the opportunity to borrow bed linen / towels, fire pit / grill, board games, mini projector for smartphone, binoculars and guitar. (50 Danish kroner)

We are a small family of 3 - Danielle, Stefan and Priscilla - who are so lucky to have found our little cottage in West Zealand, which we love so much. We did not understand the importance of being in nature before we even got a cottage, and now the time goes by to identify which plants can be eaten, look at birds and enjoy what the area has to offer of unparalleled views, and exciting walks. We look forward to sharing all this with a lot of nice people.

Lovely quiet area with good hiking opportunities in a beautiful, hilly ice age landscape. The small cottage is nice, cozy, clean, warm and with good beds and duvets. There is easy access to the toilet in the cottage, which belongs to. The breakfast, which was brought by the sweet hostess, was good, healthy and straightforward.

How was the contact with the host?
Easy contact with the host, who is hospitable, smiling and nice.

Tips for new guests?
It's not a cabin with a view as such, so you have to be willing to go for walks if you want to enjoy the countryside and the hills (and we were, so no complaints from here).

Perfect little cottage in scenic surroundings, with everything you need :)

Good communication with the host - we had talked past each other regarding bedding / duvets, but it was not a problem, a solution was quickly found.

We would definitely highly recommend the place, to others who want a little micro-adventure :)

We had a really wonderful stay in Skovhytten with Danielle and her sweet family.
They were very helpful and accommodating.
The cottage is close to their cottage, so you can borrow the bathroom. But at the same time completely by itself surrounded by tall trees.
It was very quiet and peaceful.
