This mini campsite is located in the rural wooded area of De Mortel in the municipality of Gemert Bakel. With beautiful walking and cycling routes in the immediate vicinity.
In addition to the blossom or other beautiful flowers, there are also many birds, butterflies and bees that come to sniff. The falcons hanging in the air and in the evening the bats flying around. Then you can hear the woodpecker ticking and the rooster crowing. Start the morning with a farm-fresh egg from our chickens. And then there's a big rabbit to pet. Peace and space around us, you are in the middle of the countryside but still close to the villages. Barbecuing is allowed and there is also a campfire place.
The Stippelberg nature reserve is our backyard. Hiking in the area is very beautiful and fun. Also many cycling routes that you can start from the campsite.
With the motorcycle out, you are in Germany or Belgium in no time, plenty of options for a nice ride.
In the nearby villages of Gemert, Bakel, Deurne, Helmond you can enjoy the many terraces on the beautiful squares.

We enjoyed it! nice beautiful small campsite where it is not looked at maximum full (and as much as possible) but how it remains nice and spacious. at the campsite the other guests were very pleasant and helpful. There was a very good atmosphere (in our opinion partly because there are no fixed pitches, these are a different kind of campers)
On Saturday evening, the manager started a fire in the fire bowl and almost all guests sat down for a pleasant evening. we enjoyed this extra.
Furthermore, clear so that our daughter could play and we always had a view of it.
The sanitary facilities were small and dated, but a lot of work is being done on the new sanitary facilities (so that there will be more and more spacious sanitary facilities in the future). because the other guests handled it well and left it tidy, it was no problem that there was now more 1 shower and toilet.
How was the contact with the host?
This was great, enough time and interest to have a chat. The children were allowed to feed the fish and to the chickens (pick up fresh eggs) and the rabbit.
Very friendly people (and dogs).
Tips for new guests?
join the campfire at the weekend (or organize one yourself during the week), have a chat with the managers and other guests. relax!

We felt very welcome at Karin's Camping! We just arrived and a little bit later we were sitting at the campfire and drinking wine with the family. So lovely!
And for all animal lovers.. visit that camping!!
They have a sweet dog with the name Balu and he loves to cuddle! So the cats are very sweet!! We just loved it!
1 star less because of the bathroom. But i heard they will build something new now so after that, they will got 5 really big stars from us :)
How was the contact with the host?
Very nice! We arrived and they came to say hello. Also we were allowed to sit with them next to the fire. Really nice people :)

Quiet nothing is necessary, a lot is allowed, atmosphere. Great place, sanitary facilities will be renewed, as soon as that is finished, a really nice campsite. Now less guests at the campsite as there was only one toilet available.
Nice that there was a kettle.
. First evening cozy campfire. Nice to interact with other guests.
How was the contact with the host?
Friendly.
Tips for new guests?
Afterwards I remembered that I paid for sandwiches, it is no longer about that (I think I should have asked for it beforehand); so check on arrival.
You can enjoy a walk. If you don't want to cook, there is a cafeteria in the Mortel itself. Gemert has a cozy center. Plenty to do nearby.

A camping field with 6 roaming Flemish Giants (rabbits) and 2 dogs.
Studded with shit. unsanitary.
Plumbing in a dilapidated unheated mobile home. Just cold water. filthy.
€5, service costs. for what?
Nice view.
Definitely not recommended!
How was the contact with the host?
Minimal and functional
Tips for new guests?
Power via cable reel so bring an adapter.
Toilet is so small that it is only suitable for small people.
Put on old shoes or boots because of the shit.

Most people really like the German Giants our rabbits. And yes there are rabbit droppings here and there, but they can also be from the wild rabbits.
The dogs walk with us on the grounds. They always welcome guests very friendly. Then they also go with us to the woo house.
Dog poop from our dogs is removed several times a day if necessary.
There are sanitary facilities and a lovely hot shower. Let the geyser fail this day. We have apologized for that. There was also a kettle and coffee maker waiting for you. According to you, it was no problem because you only stayed 1 night at the campsite and would go to the sauna early the next day.
We certainly do not charge service costs.
You pay to Campspace.
And if it rains, take your boots with you on a lawn.
Sincerely,
Karin and Bert van Mortels Buiten

The stay was fine! The owners were very welcoming and helpful. Nice environment where we could do what we came for, namely light a campfire with our nephews. Sanitary is dated but sufficient.

We enjoyed our stay. Nice place on the edge of the Stippleberg and between the fields with maize. They are nice people and in the evening we made a nice campfire with the children. The shower and toilet are in a mobile home and that is quite dated, but clean so no problem. (There will be a new barn with sanitary facilities.) As far as we are concerned 4 stars!

Karin and Bert live together with their son Koert between the farmlands. There is a lot of space in their garden. Everyone is welcome here, with a caravan, camper van or a tent. If you don't have one, you can even spend the night in the mobile home.
They have 2 lovely dogs Baloe and Spike and are happy to welcome guests with dogs. The dogs are not allowed to be on a leash, but are allowed to run loose in this place.
There are various facilities that you can use. If you come to camp and do not have your own sanitary facilities, you can use a sober shower and toilet. There are also various play equipment and a swimming pool that children can use, but under the watchful eye of an adult. There is a fireplace where a fire may be lit.
There is plenty to do in the area, such as walking or cycling through the forest of the Stipberg, a visit to the farmers' union museum, or just lazing around on the campsite. It's all possible.

A camp space where there is much to experience. Swimming pool, playground, dogs and chickens. It gives a bit of a mini camping feeling, but more primitive. Shower and toilet in an old mobile home.
