About this campspace
On the border between Tuscany and Umbria, on top of a hill overlooking the lake (Lago di Montepulciano), this old olive farm has been and is still being renovated by a young couple of idealists. Their goal is to provide themselves with water, energy and nutrition and they would love to inspire you with that.
Here you can relax in a place where only the birds chirp, bees pollinate, chickens scratch, horses neigh and the dog greets you.
Water and electricity are available on the pitch. And if desired, you can get a breakfast basket with fresh, honest and local products every morning.
Three times a week, an Italian dinner with a view of the lake is organized with goodies from our own garden or in collaboration with local, conscious farmers for what is not yet produced, such as meat and wine. Italy at its best! Nature and surroundings The farm is quietly situated between lawns, olive groves, forests and 3 lakes. You won't hear the sounds of our modern civilization there, except for a farmer plowing his field.
The lake that the house overlooks, Lago di Montepulciano, is 10 minutes away on foot and there you can enjoy walking, swimming and watching sunsets. A fifteen minute drive away is the larger Lago Trasimeno with its beautiful islands where you can go by boat. The natural beauty here is enormous and that is very naturally combined with the Italian culture that is interwoven throughout the landscape. The most beautiful cities and cutest villages of Tuscany and Umbria can be perfectly visited from this base. Assisi, Spello, Bevagna, Passigano, Montepulciano, Cortona, Pienza, Siena... and many other open-air museums make you long for past times and a way of life in contact with nature while you dine comfortably with a plate of fresh pasta!
