Peaceful green corner, completely off-the-grid with basic facilities. This is a place for retreats and rest, for that reason you cannot book with children younger than 12. Self-development and connection with nature are central here.

We have space for tents and campers and a yurt. As a camper, you can choose whether you prefer to stand in the clearing or between the trees.

The authentic Mongolian yurt is heated with a large wood stove. Outside you can make a campfire in the fire pit. There is a compost toilet and outdoor kitchen. However, there is no shower or bath yet, you can wash yourself in a plastic tub in the cozy 'toilet house' for the time being.

The nature reserve De Gratiebossen is nearby. And the Donkmeer is not far either. There you can sail with a boat, enjoy good food or visit the butterfly garden.

If desired, you can also book a relaxing massage. Feel free to message me for more information about this.

Campers longer than 5 meters are not recommended, as the entrance has a sharp bend, and the wheels can sink into the ground in rainy weather.

We camped with 3 for 1 quiet, warm autumn night in this lovely place of Karolien.

We built a campfire, visited some local geocaches, baked a burger on the barbecue and drank a few Chinese teas by the campfire. We eagerly made use of the outdoor kitchen and slept well in the pine forest. In the morning we got some coffee cakes in the village and we were given the freedom to pack and leave at our leisure.

The site has many different places (forest, open ground, campfire place, covered garden kitchen, bees, chickens, compost toilet/bathroom, ...). There is a lot more infrastructure than we expected, the kitchen has just about everything, it almost became glamping, with fresh drinks from the off-grid fridge and tea made on the gas fire. Everything is very neat and tidy and everything has been thought of.

We did not use the yurt, but it looks very cozy for people who prefer not to sleep in a tent.

Our online booking went very smoothly. Karolien welcomed us warmly and showed us around her site. Karolien is easily accessible for questions and a chat. Thank you for giving us a night of rest in your forest!

We had a LOVELY stay at Karolien's forest. The yurt is amazing! Nicely decorated and super cozy. The mattresses are a little too soft for my liking but that's a matter of taste. As there are two mattresses in one bed they tend to drift apart and build a valley in the middle, but it didn't bother us too much. the yurt is really well isolated and got warm and cozy! The outdoor kitchen is well equipped. Karolien brought us drinking water, firewood was included aswell. The compost toilet was clean and neat and pleasant to use :-) We were even provided with some towels to wash (there's no shower yet, we just heated water to clean ourselves). I would've liked a curtain for the window though. We were the only guests so it was very quiet and we had a lot of privacy. It is not as off grid as we expected from the pictures but still very nice.

The place is still under construction, I know that Karolien is doing her best to make the space perfect :) Excited to see what's coming next!

All in all it was an amazing three-day-holiday, we enjoyed it thorougly and can only recommand it!

Text from the host: "I mentioned on my Campspace profile that the silence had to be respected + that your own garbage had to be taken with you. Two rules that you have ignored. As far as I'm concerned you should not come back." We arrived with our family of four.. we often book with airbnb and campspace. Almost all had good experiences .. Bit weird and rude reaction after. We sang 2 songs around the campfire and apparently the neighbours, who live tens of meters from our camp site, were disturbed by that, they will have to endure a lot more when you are fully operational. We did stop immediately after your text message. Forgot to mention? We did not take the garbage bag with us after the very heavy cloudburst that night. It was very wet and full of ants. That does not go in our car and there was no space provided on your property. Maybe a first point.. Too bad you literally tell us that we don't have to come back anymore, instead of friendly feedback..

It was a very pleasant reception. We were told we were the first guests. The personal vehicle could be parked on the plot and water bottles were provided. We were given a tour of the domain. Complete privacy was then given by Karolien.

The plot is a piece of forest under construction, currently a bit bare but this will only improve in the future. In the future, for example, a yurt, toilet and outdoor kitchen will be provided. Currently there are no amenities but that's just what makes it fun for me.

The forest borders a hiking trail but there is plenty of opportunity to sit out of sight. There is a large clearing to pitch the tent and make a campfire. However, you can place a tarp or tent between the trees in the forest.

There are many birds where you can really enjoy their singing.
