About this campspace

Our natural campsite is located on the edge of the forest, on the meadows along the Elbe, at the end of a small asphalt road in the middle of nature. This area has been used in this way by outdoor enthusiasts since the 1950s.
It is located in the upper Elbe valley, the more touristy part of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains directly at the Saxon Switzerland National Park, between the well-known towns of Königstein, with the fortress of the same name, and the spa town of Rathen with the world-famous Bastei Bridge.
Our campsite was opened in April 2004 and is one of the first official hostels in rural Germany. Our hostel and camping area is located somewhat remotely in a sandstone house that is over 100 years old, right on the banks of the Elbe, surrounded by forest and meadows.

Rules

Our immediate neighbor is the Saxon Switzerland National Park.
We are located in the Elbe Valley, which is very noisy, especially at night, so we have to adhere to the usual “10 p.m. to 8 a.m. quiet rule.”
We would like to stay true to the basic idea of a campsite, namely spending the night in a tent.
Do not bring stereo systems, active speakers or other playback devices!
We like handmade, plucked and fluted music or sung live around the campfire.
Please bring your own complete cooking and rain gear.
Dog owners are liable for their four-legged friends.
