Welcome to our small-scale ecological glamping with Dutch owners. Our three luxury safari tents are located in a forest and are ideally located between two child-friendly beaches. It is 1 hour drive from Lisbon. With us you will experience a unique experience in an oasis of peace in the middle of nature and you can fully enjoy the sound of the ocean. From our glamping you can experience the beautiful nature, culture and hospitality of Portugal.
Our 3 fully equipped spacious luxury safari tents are 54 m² in size and are suitable for a maximum of 4 to 5 people. They are at least 20 meters away from each other so that you have a lot of peace and privacy. There are 2 spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds, wardrobes and mosquito nets. Pillows, duvets, hotel linen, towels and kitchen linen are provided. There is an umbrella in each tent, but you have to bring your own beach towel. There is a luxurious bathroom with a sink, toilet and a lovely spacious warm rain shower. The safari tents have a fully equipped kitchen with a 4-burner stove, a table-top fridge with built-in freezer. There is a fire extinguisher and a fire blanket next to the gas stove. There is also a first aid kit. In the tent are standard: salt, pepper, vinegar, olive oil, sugar, coffee filters, coffee for the 1st day, tea, hand soap, washing up liquid, kitchen roll and toilet paper. On request we have a camping bed, baby bath, high chair and night light. We do not charge any extra costs for this. 1 safari tent can be made suitable for people with a wheelchair on request.
There is a "hangout" on our site with hammocks where you can relax. There is a BBQ and free Wifi at our terrace and there is a ping pong table and a swimming pool.
Every morning the baker comes by with freshly baked bread and you look out from your veranda on a forest and an old-fashioned windmill. You regularly hear the ocean in the background. It is only a 200 meter walk from your safari tent and then you are at the beautiful rocky coast of the Atlantic Ocean. Several beautiful walking and cycling routes run through the forest along our glamping. It is a 5 minute drive to the beautiful beaches; Foz do Arelho, Salir do Porto and Sao Martinho do Porto.

We are Nanja and Marjolein Engeln. In 2012 the idea arose to start a glamping in Portugal. We then drove to Portugal on the motorcycle and looked in various regions where we could best start a glamping. Our choice fell on the area between Peniche and Nazaré. The climate is very nice and there is a lot to see and do in the area. The people there are very friendly and helpful. The silver coast has not yet been discovered by mass tourism and the area is beautiful green and fertile. In April 2017, we quit our jobs at the police and emigrated to Portugal. At our glamping by the sea you will find all the peace, space and nature to relax and unwind. If you want to look up the crowds, it is only 5 minutes away by car and you will find everything there. We love to live in nature and with nature. Our goal is ultimately to be able to live completely off the grid and to be self-sufficient.
Boat / kayak / sup trip on the Lagoon in Foz do Arelho.
Watching the sunset at the Atlantic Ocean 200 meters away.
There is a daily fruit and vegetable market in Caldas da Rainha and Nazaré.
Live music every Sunday afternoon at O Pit Stop at the train station in São Martinho do Porto.
There are several good restaurants in the area within a 5 to 10 minute drive. Ask us about it.
