About this campspace #s005472

Your host

Peter

Sleep in a Native American tipi on a wooden bench raised above the ground and with the crackling flames of the fire in the background. A great way to spend the night in nature.

In our medium and large large tipi there are resp. 4 and 6 wooden sofa beds, which stand around a large fire pit. The benches mean that you sleep on an even surface and lift up from the ground, which is a nice experience for especially beginners in sleeping in nature.

Alternatively, you can choose a night in shelters, where you wake up to the birdsong and the smell of the surrounding apple trees. Our shelters are made of solid wood, so you are well protected against any rain and wind. In front of each shelter there is a fire pit, benches and tree stumps, so there is plenty of space to eat and enjoy the fire.

You must bring your own sleeping bag and sleeping pad. You can also easily bring a small fold-out mattress and duvet to make the night more luxurious.

TOILET, BATH, WATER, FIRE - AND ELECTRICITY
In the square there is a large campfire hut, so you can easily prepare your dinner. You also have running drinking water and a soil toilet. As an added bonus, you also have access to electricity, so you can, for example, charge your mobile phone. However, this does not apply to the tipi / shelters themselves.

There is also an outdoor shower where a bath can be purchased.

Firewood can be bought on site - and you also have the opportunity to buy fresh strawberries, peas, cucumbers, onions, potatoes and everything in between from our own small fruit / vegetable stall.

THE AREA
The site is located in an orchard, where we have grown apples, pears and plums since 2001. It is a scenic area with lots of game. Here are many nature experiences and Danish history, which we are happy to share.

There is plenty of space for the children to play, look at our chickens and pet the horses - and if they are lucky, they will see our peacock flapping its wings. We also have king games and mega-mikado for both children and childish souls.

We provide the opportunity to immerse ourselves. To be together as a couple, family or team. Be together to make a fire, cook, go for a walk. We make room for each other.

In total, we have room for 32 people divided into 3 types and 4 shelters.

I enjoyed my stay at Kildevejen, Peter is very helpful and everything is thought of. There is wood to buy for the fire, a sink to wash up with soap, an outdoor shower (I did not use it) and 3 toilets on site. It was a wet weekend we stayed and the Tipi does drip with the heavy rain running down the polls halfway then dripping into the central metal fire bowl. The local roosters will wake you up at 5am and there was some dog barking but otherwise it was a good stay.
Outdoor people expect to not sleep well!

Mega cozy accommodation in tipi which, however, could not quite withstand cloudburst. The hosts are incredibly sweet and hospitable, the breakfast pure luxury and we will definitely come again when the weather forecast predicts a little more stable weather. Ps- the venison sausages and spiced sausage the owners of the record sell are highly recommended- it tasted great!

Inside the tipi smelled musty and earthy. Would rather have slept outside in the open air or shelter.

Pretty cool place with good facilities. Yes there is no drag and drop, but that was not what we went for either. As an outdoor camp, it is a great place with delicious cabins to sit in in the evening before pulling into the tent. The small tent is just small enough to also have a fire pit, so it's cool with the extra cabins. The host Peter is super good at creating a great atmosphere and is very helpful. He also has good ideas for what to see in east lolland

Sweet and welcoming host - lovely place in the Lolland nature.

However, it draws down that the place is categorized as 'glamping' - a contraction of glamorous and camping. There was not much glamor over the tippie itself.
When we had a dog with us, a floor / wooden deck would have been nice, as she (also) froze through the night, even though we had the basket with us. We came home with lots of dirty clothes / bedding - that was what it was. I'm glad we had dry weather during our stay.

If you are going for a tent trip and fresh air, then it is just a perfect place.

Nice facilities at the nature camp. There is what one can wish for. In the picture it looks like there are mattresses, but you have to bring your own mattress. The host is incredibly sweet and helpful.

During our visit to Kildevejen's shelter site, we were welcomed and well received by Peter on arrival. We had our dog with us and felt very welcome and comfortable. We had a free choice with which shelter we wanted to use, and it was great that we could choose the one that suited us best now that they were available. The place is so beautiful, fenced in, in the middle of Peter's orchard, and he encouraged us to take a walk around the plantation. We walked between apple, pear and plum trees, and saw several hares between the rows. On the other side of the road we visited his fruit and vegetable stall, where the peacocks and their young roamed freely outside. We bought some of the delicious plums we had seen in the plantation. They tasted great!
The area is beautiful and quiet and we felt safe as guests when Peter made sure we had what we needed and checked that everything was as it should be after we got in place.
The shelter was well located on the ground, was clearly cleaned, without cobwebs and creeps. The toilets were fine, and with toilet paper available, and it was great that there was the possibility of a shower. We also had the opportunity to buy firewood and lighting. Only downside to our visit was that unfortunately there were not only plenty of plants and animals in the plantation but also mosquitoes. This is not something Peter should be blamed for, but a call to remember mosquito spray or nets for the shelter.
We have already recommended the shelter to others, and we could easily consider visiting the source road again if we get on those edges for a shelter trip. Next time maybe in one of the tips :-)

Thank you for a good night!

Lovely place and sweet hosts.
The tipi are not waterproof, so it rains on one at night. We moved into the shelters instead. I would therefore not recommend the tipis to sleep in, but shelters or your own caravan / tent instead. There were also algae, mold and killer snails in the tipi.
The place is cozy and it is a really nice stall with everything delicious, but I wish it was stated in advance that the tipis are not waterproof.

The toilet facilities, access to water, electricity, firewood and beautiful campfire huts made it all so easy. We came out in a bit of a killer snail situation in the little tipi, but the host (Peter) was simply so nice and adaptable, so we were allowed to have the 2nd night in a shelter instead. We would definitely recommend the nature camp to others who are looking for a great nature experience on Lolland! We hope to come by another time in the future 🙂☀️

Cozy place if you want a slightly "wilder" experience.

Soil toilet and solar-heated bath water (so be sure to take a shower in the evening), however, there is a fridge on site and a few sockets if you need to charge something. The medium and large tipi has sleeping couches so you do not have to sleep directly on the ground and there is a fire pit inside the tipi so you can heat it up in the evening. Make sure to build the fire with plenty of air in the mist so the fire does not just make smoke.

Outside there is a table / bench set you can sit at and eat your food, prepared either over a campfire or brought trangia or similar.

Bring mosquito spray as there are a lot of mosquitoes.

Very nice host.

It is an absolutely wildly cozy place with a nice and helpful host.

We stayed in the tipi with 2 small children (1 and 3) and the whole place was a hit for them, secluded from the road and with lots to see and touch.

We can also recommend the sickly delicious tomatoes from the vegetable node.

We can definitely recommend visiting the tipi - but remember to bring a soft surface.

And then there is a lot to see and experience right around.

It is difficult to have the fire lit inside the tipi at night, so it gets quite cold (the night temperature was down to 1 degree when we stayed overnight on April 21).

You can buy firewood on site. Bring your own lighting equipment and possibly an ax.

We received a warm welcome from Peter, who does not have special agreements with the weather gods 😅 Peter was extremely helpful with excursions in the area and our challenge with the weather (a lot of rain!) We have been serviced with dry firewood for us and offered charging by phone indoors due the weather.
We attribute the weather “another experience” and would very much like to come another time 😊

We spent the night in the middle tipi on a weekend trip from Copenhagen in the beginning of June - and we can definitely recommend it!

The tipi is located in a cozy place between rows of fruit trees and it is hard not to feel relaxed when you sit in front of the fire and watch the sun go down over the field behind. There is plenty of space in the tipi and it is extra luxury to have a wooden bench to sleep on - we slept really well!

Natur Camp Kildevej is the perfect place for an easy camping trip: there are the necessary facilities (toilet, campfire site, drinking water) plus electricity (really nice in terms of charging your phone). On top of that, the owner, Peter, also runs a small fruit stall where we bought fresh strawberries and peas. You can also buy onions, tomatoes, etc. for dinner there, if you have not brought it from home. Firewood can also be purchased on site.

Peter (who we learned is known as 'Tipi-Peter') even greeted us when we arrived. He is super friendly and took the time to explain to us about the place and its facilities - and also introduced us to his two cute dogs: Oscar and Swip.

All in all a really nice stay and we will definitely come back for another cozy overnight stay!
