I am Annemarie, 49 years old. Married and mother of 2 daughters.
Besides my work as a pediatric nurse, I really enjoy working at our farm.
Together with my oldest daughter I give private lessons for horseback riding at our farm.
I also love to be busy in our garden / vegetable garden!

Our overall experience is that we had a very relaxing time here and our daughters (2 & 4 yo) loved to be around the horses.

The hosts are very friendly and have good availability via phone or on the premises. They offered our kids to brush the pony and have a little pony ride, so their dream came through.

The campspace is a grass field next to the owner's house and the horse stables. A clean toilet, shower and electricity are available on the field. Water is available a few steps away. It is easy to get to the shops of Veendam by bike.

Tips for future guests: as we travelled by camper we needed to empty our chemical toilet. This is not possible at this campground, so we had to empty this at a nearby camper parking.

With three teenagers we camped for a few nights with super hospitable owners Annemarie and Robert. Had a great time! Beautiful lawn to stand on, spacious pitches. A new toilet and shower cabin has just been placed on the field. The children played nicely on the field and made rides on the ponies. Fantastic! We would like to come back sometime.

We were able to stay at Camping Wilhelminahoeve in Veendam for a week with our fire brigade camper.
What a wonderful time we had! Annemarie and Robert are very hospitable. The children have been able to help a lot with the horses, ponies, chickens and dogs. In addition, we have made nice outdoor trips.
At the end of the day, sit down at the large kitchen table to enjoy a delicious meal.
Thank you so much for the special week! And we hope to come back here again.

We had a wonderful long weekend in Veendam. The camping owners were very hospitable. Our daughter was riding horses wonderfully. She was taught by the eldest daughter. She was allowed to help taking care of the horses. Our son enjoyed fishing. There is a lot of fishing water around the farm. He was also allowed to help on the tractor. As icing on the cake, they also looked after the children so that the two of us could go out. In addition to the horses there are also three dogs in the yard. Our dog was also allowed to run free. Made campfire in the evening. In short: very nice stay. 5 stars are well deserved. We are going back soon!

Unfortunately, our experience with this Campspace was not as expected. We had booked this Campspace from Thursday to Sunday, but we left early (on Friday). The main reason for this is hygiene. That was not in order, especially given this COVID-19 time. With the "new" toilet shower combination there was no opportunity to wash your hands and the toilet did not flush. We found out ourselves that there is a sink inside Annemarie where you can wash / brush your teeth / wash up, but this one was not corona-proof either. The host Annemarie herself seems like a nice woman but unfortunately didn't have much time to explain and didn't ask us for the reason of our earlier departure. We understand that this was a starting campsite with start-up problems, but given the rate for 2 people with a tent, it did not meet our requirements.

Hello, unfortunately you as camping guests did indeed fall just a little bit between shore and ship. A few days ago we had a new unit on the campsite with shower and toilet, unfortunately and unfortunately no sink yet. For this reason, the camping guests are allowed to use the utility room, where there is an opportunity to brush their teeth, wash dishes, use a microwave, a refrigerator, a hob and a washing machine. Unfortunately when you arrived a number of camping guests just left and a number of new camping guests arrived for you! When you arrived I had to leave shortly afterwards because of my work at the Umcg. So unfortunately you did not have an extensive tour and I only heard later that the new toilet was not flushing properly. My husband made these immediately after we were informed about this. We had equipped the toilet with a hand hygiene pump. It was also very hot that day and we had not yet created any shady spots, now there is a large parasol of 7 meters in diameter and a white large tent where guests can sit in the shade. We are very sorry that you were at our campsite at the wrong time. I would like to give your money back and invite you to come back again at my expense. Greetings, Annemarie

From the beginning, arriving at Annemarie was comfortable. We arrived at sunset, with beautiful horses on one side, and a beautiful farmhouse with flowers on the other. Annemarie, Robert and their lovely two dogs welcomed us as if we were long time friends. We set up the tent and had some tea and coffee. There’s plenty of space for kids to run, for dogs to explore and you may even bring your horses to walk around the woods. We found a really nice 18 km route to walk in, highly recommended. The toilet and shower facilities are top notch, as are the picnic tables, the veggie garden and Annemarie’s beautiful flower garden. Robert and Annemarie are kind and compassionate people, and their lifestyle reflects that. They want people and animals to live the best life they possibly can. If you’re looking for a weekend getaway, this is definitely a place to go and then come back later to.

We really enjoyed staying with Annemarie and her family in Veendam! We stood on a nice field next to a beautiful large farm. In the evening you can eat with what the pot is serving, in our case we fell with our nose in the butter and it became a delicious and cozy bbq. Annemarie's husband, Robert, is a cook and you can taste that 😋. Our camper was next to the horse box, so of course we had to drive! Annemarie and her daughter give horse riding lessons with a lot of love and expertise. The children enjoyed. In short, this place is like a warm bath that hopefully many more people will enjoy!

We spent 1 night with Robert and Annemarie on the mini campsite. They are very helpful and easy. All facilities are well organized. And if not, something can be arranged. Our small children loved the horses. Campsite is a stone's throw from the center. And Veendam, Borgerswold, has a beautiful park with play facilities for children. And a great water ski track.

Last week we had a few wonderful days at the mini campsite with Annemarie and family in Veendam. I had 2 horse girls with me and they think this is the best campsite ever. Cuddling, petting, grooming, riding and even swimming with the ponies all day long. What a party! The campsite is free with spacious pitches and within walking distance of the center.

A very nice, simple farm campsite, still under development, which was a lot of fun to experience. During our stay there was a nice simple toilet/shower combination, when it got very hot Robert set up a huge party tent over the beautiful round picnic table. We used their tent, on arrival there was a vase of flowers...
We had dinner with us twice (super tasty and cozy!), my girlfriend had herself massaged by Annemarie and came away very relaxed.
Bicycle and devices could be in the shed. We borrowed things that we had forgotten to bring.
Horse riding hasn't happened yet, but we'll be back for that!
Both Annemarie, Robert and their daughters are very hospitable and cordial, we had a wonderful week!

We stayed in a little van with two people and two dogs and Annemarie and her family’s place. We just loved the combination of wonderful people and wonderful wood walks. And in the evening a stroll through Veendam. We even booked a second night.

Very warm welcome by Annemarie. The possibility to eat with the pot for a small fee (the owner is a chef) is a huge plus! It will be brought to your tent if you wish. Many sights within half an hour's drive, such as the beautiful (swimming) lake of Nije Hemelriek, Groningen and the beautiful Fraeylemaborg. Recommended.

The contact with the owner was pleasant. Responded quickly, and just let you do your thing at the campsite. Within walking distance of the city but in nature. The only downside is that there wasn't much shade on the property. And the restrooms were very clean!
